Isang nakatutuwang pangyayari ang naganap kaninang tanghali, July 22, sa launching ni John Lloyd Cruz bilang pinakabagong endorser ng Swatch watches.
During the event, na ginanap sa The Establishment sa The Fort, Taguig City, ay nagpa-raffle ang Swatch ng mga relo para sa media. Si John Lloyd mismo ang bumunot ng mga chips at nag-abot ng mga premyo.
Isa sa mga nabunot na chip ni John Lloyd ay ang No. 126. Paulit-ulit na tinawag ng aktor ang numero dahil walang nagke-claim nito, at akala nga niya ay umalis na ang nagmamay-ari ng naturang chip.
Hanggang sa may tumayong isang babae sa kanyang upuan. Ang naturang babae ay walang iba kundi si Liz Uy, ang fashion editor ng Preview magazine. Si Liz ang may hawak ng chip No. 126.
Para sa hindi nakakaalam, si Liz ay ex-girlfriend ni John Lloyd.
Nagulat si John Lloyd nang makitang tumayo si Liz. Ang ginawa niya ay pumunta siya sa kinaroroonan ni Liz at ibinigay ang premyo nito. Pero bago ito ay niyakap niya muna nang mahigpit ang dating kasintahan.

Pagbalik ni John Lloyd sa stage ay biniro siya ng isa sa mga host ng programa at kasamahan sa ASAP '09 na si Billy Crawford. Ani Billy, "You're sweating, man! Do you need water?" At siniko lang ni John Lloyd si Billy.
Nang makausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si John Lloyd pagkatapos ng event ay tinanong namin siya tungkol sa "unexpected meeting" nila ni Liz.
"Raffle yun, e, and there were like hundred chips. Parang napili yung sa kanya [Liz]. Masaya, it was very interesting. It was funny, pero more than anything, parang maganda yung moment. Launch ko, and over a hundred chips, napili yung chip niya. Quite interesting," nangingiting sabi ni John Lloyd.
Ayon kay John Lloyd, close din daw si Liz sa may-ari ng Swatch watches na si Ms. Virgie Ramos.
"We're good friends now," banggit ni John Lloyd. "I was very happy to see her, kasi hindi ko na siya ganun madalas makita ngayon."
Nang biruin na naging mahigpit yata ang pagyakap niya kay Liz, nagpaliwanag siya: "Hindi, normal lang yun, siyempre, 'pag may nakita kang tao na matagal mo nang hindi nakikita. When I embraced her, it felt good."
