In demand na leading man ngayon si Derek Ramsay, sa telebisyon man o pelikula, kaya naman masayang-masaya talaga ang aktor. Ito ang inihayag ni Derek sa kanyang live guesting sa The Buzz last Sunday, July 26, habang ini-interview ni Ruffa Gutierrez.
Una nilang napag-usapan ang tungkol sa TV projects ni Derek.
Ruffa: Alam mo, isa ka sa mga pinaka-in-demand at talagang hottest actors ngayon. Ang dami mong ginagawa.
Derek: Oo, madami nga akong ginagawa ngayon.
Ruffa: What are your projects now that you are working on? Sabi mo kasi wala ka nang tulog.
Derek: I'm busy with The Wedding, Habang May Buhay with Judy Ann (Santos). The Wedding is with Anne (Curtis) and Zanjoe (Marudo).
Ruffa: Habang May Buhay is the soap you're doing with Juday na hindi pa ipinapalabas?
Derek: Yeah. And Precious Hearts (Romances) pagkatapos with Toni Gonzaga.
MOVIE PROJECTS. Sumunod na pinag-usapan nina Ruffa at Derek ang tungkol sa movie projects ng aktor. Gaya na lang ng movie ni Derek kasama ang girlfriend niyang si Angelica Panganiban at ng malapit nang ipalabas na pelikulang And I Love You So, kung saan kasama ni Derek sina Bea Alonzo at Sam Milby.
Ruffa: And movies?
Derek: Of course, that's what I'm really, really excited about. I'm doing two movies, one with my Baby Angel (palayaw ni Angelica).
Ruffa: Ay, Angel is here nga pala (sa studio)! Uy, palakpakan naman natin si Angel! She's here somewhere. Ayan, PA (personal assistant) ni Derek just for today.
Derek: For today kasi hindi na kami nagkikita. So, we have the chance.
Ruffa: Uy, ang sweet-sweet naman nila!
Derek: And I Love You So, with Bea and Sam, which I'm really, really overwhelmed about because they had a private viewing of the film and everybody is texting me how great the movie is.
WORKING WITH BEA. Kinumusta naman ni Ruffa kay Derek ang muli nitong pakikipagtrabaho kay Bea after ng ilang TV at movie projects.
Ruffa: You've worked with Bea Alonzo before in Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2. But now, ikaw talaga yung leading man niya. How is it working with her? Are there any changes from the last time you've worked with her?
Derek: Uhmm... No. We also did a movie before, One More Chance with John Lloyd (Cruz). And I have to say 'thank you' to the John Lloyd-Bea fans because they really supported this movie that we are doing. So, maraming salamat sa inyo sa suporta sa movie na ito. Bea... kinukulit ko lang si Bea. Kulitan lang kami.
Ruffa: Bakit?
Derek: Inaasar ko lagi yun sa set, e, kasi mabilis siyang mapikon. Masyado siyang affected. That's why I tell her, 'pag hindi ka na naa-affect sa mga sinasabi ko, dun lang ako titigil sa pang-aasar.
Ruffa: Pero si Bea ngayon, I'm sure napansin mo, she's sexier. She lost a lot of weight. Ikaw ba kahit na girlfriend mo si Angel, do you think that Bea is now yummier?
Derek: (Natawa muna si Derek bago nakasagot) She's definitely yummier now, I have to say. She seems happy with her work and outside her work.
Ruffa: Hindi mo alam kung may lovelife si Bea?
Derek: Yeah, wala pa siyang sinasabi sa akin. But she looks very, very happy.
EVERLASTING LOVE. Sa sumunod na usapan, ikinonek naman ni Ruffa ang tema ng And I Love You So na everlasting love sa pag-iibigan nina Derek at Angelica Panganiban.
Ruffa: Okay. The movie is about everlasting love. Can you tell us more about the story and what's your role here?
Derek: Well, the whole movie is about... it teaches you na dapat hindi ka natatakot to fall in love again and again and again.
Ruffa: Ikaw ba takot ka bang mag-fall in love? Was ever a time in your life na natakot ka?
Derek: Yeah. So, I don't use those three words lightly. 'I love you' is like the ultimate thing that you can say to a woman when you are in love, di ba? So, I'm very careful the way I use those three words. And right now, I am in love and I use it all the time.
Ruffa: Si Angelica na ba ang everlasting love mo?
Derek: Yeah!
Ruffa: Uy, ang sweet-sweet nila! Derek is taking Angel to the World Cup in South Africa, in Johannesburg next year.
Derek: Yeah, next year in March. I'm gonna make her experience how it is to be in an atmosphere where the whole world is one. Cheering together.
MINI COOPER. Dumako rin ang usapan nila sa ibinigay na regalo kamakailan ni Derek kay Angelica na isang Mini Cooper na kotse.
