Masayang-masaya ang former Star Circle Quest finalist na si Paw Diaz nang makausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa telepono tungkol sa kanyang debut as cover girl ng top men's magazine na FHM.
Matatandaang isa si Paw sa nagkaroon ng solo sexy production number sa nakaraang FHM 100 Sexiest victory party noong July 9 sa World Trade Center. Do'n nagsimula ang haka-haka sa Internet at blog sites na magpu-pose na si Paw sa naturang men's magazine. Kaya madami ang nagulat nang tuluyan na nilang nakita ang young star bilang cover girl ng FHM sa August 2009 issue nito.
"Masaya ako, masayang-masaya!" bulalas ni Paw. "Ang ganda ng kinalabasan ng mga pictures ko sa shoot, at ang daming pictures!"
Ano naman ang naging reaction ng kanyang pamilya sa kanyang pagpu-pose sa FHM?
"Yung kuya ko, bumili na siya kahapon, nagustuhan niya," sabi ni Paw. "Yung ibang mga pinsan ko, nagulat pa nga at napatawag dahil hindi daw nila ine-expect na ako yung cover for this month. Pero positive naman lahat ng nakukuha kong feedback.
Paano naman siya napapayag mag-pose sa FHM?
"Dati ko pang nai-imagine yung sarili ko na nasa cover ng FHM kaya mahilig akong bumili nito," sagot ni Paw. "Tapos, titingnan ko lahat ng mga pictures at babasahin ang mga article. Kaya inisip ko na baka masayang maging cover nito. And it's really for myself. I really want this sexy pictorial."
PAW'S BOYFRIEND. Nabanggit din ng Kapamilya star na may non-showbiz boyfriend siya ngayon, pero nakadestino ito sa Singapore.
"Sa Singapore siya naka-assign," sabi ni Paw. "Pero madalas pumupunta ako dun para bisitahin siya. Magastos, pero okay lang. Buti na lang ay uuwi na siya dito sa Pilipinas soon."
Sang-ayon ba ang boyfriend niya sa pagpu-pose niya sa FHM?
"Two years na naming pinag-uusapan ito, as in talagang napag-uusapan!" natatawang sabi ng young actress. "Kaya nung nagkaroon ng offer nung una, ayaw niya. Pero nagbago din isip niya, for as long as hindi daw masyadong daring at sexy. Ang sabi ko naman, kung ano lang kaya ko, yun lang ang gagawin ko".
SIGN OF BETTER THINGS TO COME. Obvious naman ang malaking pagbabago ni Paw sa pictorial niya for FHM. Naka-two-piece lingerie at swimsuit lang siya, malayong-malayo sa nakasanayan ng mga taong pa-sweet at tahimik na Paw na nakikita sa TV.
Hudyat na ba ito na ready na siya sa mga mature and sexy roles?
"Before this pa naman, may mga offers na talaga ako for sexy and mature roles," sagot ng dalaga. "Pero siyempre, hindi ganun kadali yun. Hindi rin naman puwedeng tanggap ka lang nang tanggap, e, kaya tumatanggi muna ako.
"Hindi porke't sexy roles ang uso, kailangan ko din makipagsabayan. I am okay with what I do. It doesn't matter kung best friend ka lang ng bida or ikaw yung bida. Ang importante sa akin for now ay may work ako. Wala pa akong specific genre na gusto. I'll try different roles na lang muna."
Nabanggit din ni Paw sa PEP na may mga naka-lineup na siyang projects sa ABS-CBN. Meron din siyang movie na ginagawa ngayon.
Sa kasalukuyan ay napapanood siya sa Goals and Girls ng TV5. Kasali rin siya sa play na A Streetcar Named Desire, na mapapanood tuwing Sabado at Linggo sa SM Manila hanggang September 27. Kasama ni Paw rito ang Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 winner na si Nene Tamayo.
