Regular programming was momentarily interrupted to give way to the latest updates about the wake of the late President Corazon Aquino, who passed away last August 1 after a year-and-a-half battle against colon cancer.

Aside from news updates about the former President's wake entering the top daytime and primetime programs, it's also interesting to note that The Buzz, ABS-CBN's showbiz-oriented talk show posted one of its highest ratings (20.5 percent) last Sunday, August 2, thanks to Kris Aquino's tell-all interview about her mother's last days. The rating  helped propel The Buzz to No. 1 in the daytime race.

Meanwhile, weekday primetime darling May Bukas Pa posted its highest rating at 44.4 percent last night, August 3, to maintain its lead.
