Kabi-kabila at sunud-sunod ang mga ginagawang projects ni Derek Ramsay, sa telebisyon man o sa pelikula. Sa TV ay napapanood siya sa ABS-CBN primetime soap na The Wedding with Anne Curtis at Zanjoe Marudo. Napanood din siya sa nagtapos nang Komiks Presents Nasaan Ka Maruja?.

Mapapanood naman siya sa Star Cinema movie na And I Love You So simula sa August 12. Kasama niya sa pelikula sina Bea Alonzo, Sam Milby, Coney Reyes, Nikki Gil, Candy Pangilinan, at Maricar Reyes.

Dahil nga sa dami ng kanyang ginagawang projects, tinatawag siya ngayong "most in-demand leading man." Ano ang comment niya rito?

"My whole career, this whole rollercoaster ride has been amazing. It's still hard to take everything in. I've been paired up with great actors and actresses. Great projects left and right. For me right now, I'm just thinking na you got to perform, you got to deliver. And I think that's why they're giving me projects left and right because I really am putting 200 percent to any role that is given to me," pahayag ni Derek nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Ano ang role niya sa And I Love You So?

"I'm Bea's partner. We share the perfect  relationship. I just can't say any more kasi hindi ko puwedeng sabihin or else mabubuko na yung istorya."

WORKING WITH BEA. How is it working with Bea?

"It's great  and to be paired up with her, her partner here, it's really a great experience. I only have good words for Bea. She's a good actress and she's really a good person in real life."

Hindi ba siya nahirapan sa role niya sa movie?

"With this movie, mas madali siya para sa akin kasi yung character ko dito is me. Actually, ako siya. Hindi ako nahirapan kasi it's me. I can see myself in this character."

Compared sa mga nagawa na niyang movies before, ano ang kaibahan ng role niya rito sa And I Love You So?

"Besides sa bagong tambalan namin ni Bea, this is actually my first movie na there's also some pressure on my shoulders. Kasi to be compared sa ka-love team ni Bea na si John Lloyd Cruz is hard. There is a lot of pressure. But I'm not competing with him. Like I said, I just try my best. And hopefully, the people will accept it and see that."

Kung wala sa buhay niya ang girlfriend na si Angelica Panganiban, posible ba siyang ma-in love kay Bea?

"Ang problema meron, e. So, hindi ko masasagot iyan."
