Last Wednesday, Startalk got hold of Adik Sa 'Yo heartthrob Dennis Trillo with co-star Pauleen Luna in their Joel Cruz Personal Care endorsement show at SM City North EDSA's Skydome. Rumor has it that the two are in a more serious relationship nowadays though both would only say that they are just happy in each other's company. As Dennis puts it, it is a special friendship filled with dates without really being romantically involved.
"Ine-enjoy namin ang company ng isa't isa," said a smiling Dennis. "Ganoon lang."
"Let's leave it at that. Let's not make it complicated," Pauleen added. "Masaya kami together, tapos pag magkasama kami, e worry-free."
Dennis further praised Pauleen, calling her "special." Well, exactly how special is Pauleen in his life right now? And by calling her that, is he on his way to wooing her?
"Ano ba ang special?" said Dennis, "Importante, mahalaga, nagbibigay ng saya—ganyan ang special. Hindi naman kasi ako yung traditional na liligaw. Basta, mas importante sa akin ang kaibigan at mabuo muna ang pundasyon ng pagkakaibigan dahil doon mo makikita kung gaano katibay kung ano ang mayroon kayo."
What exactly did Dennis realize when he thought that Pauleen was special? Is she somewhat different from the women Dennis has dated before?
Dennis answered, "Ayoko magkumpara o ano man 'yong dati. Basta masaya ako na kasama siya, at pag kasama ko siya, parang walang mali."
Dennis is seen as a lady's man, someone who has dated, hurt, and left a number of women in the past. Is Pauleen aware and scared of such rumors?
"Hindi naman," she said. "Matagal ko nang kilala si Dennis—siguro mga four or five years. Iba kasi ang ipinapakita niya sa akin at iba ang nakikita ko. So, wala naman rasong matakot."
Since they're both from the sitcom Adik Sa 'Yo, can people help wondering if the "couple" is—pun intended—addicted to each other?
"Gusto namin magkasama kami palagi kasi nga napapasaya namin ang isa't isa," said Dennis. "Ganoon lang ka simple."
Pauleen agreed by saying, "Vice-versa! Masaya ako ngayon. I am very happy and masaya kami pareho."
