BENEFITS, TOO, SHOULD BE GIVEN UP.
HONOR FROM PUP.

Come on, the political drama they did really influenced the public's perception of the person that they REJECTED who happened to be CJC! The man is DESERVING to be hailed as a national artist, whether today or anytime in the future.
I'm not a fan of PGMA but those protested her move should have done it in a way that the NA Award shouldn' have been tarnished. That the point i'm trying to point at.
The problem with some artist groups including those NA Awardees, they never recognized Komiks as a form of art. That fact has been evident in past and the same group has been belittling Pinoy movies in the past decades. Didn't they clone the term 'bakya' alluding to Pinoy films and Komiks?
They only started to recognize Pinoy movies as 'part of art' when a few films started to gain international recognitions in the 80s amp; 90s, but even then, those 'guardians of arts' have been frowning on Pinoy movies and the Komiks.
They could have resolved this issue in a civil way and not through political drama! Ewan!
so what is it exactly your point?
Let's face it, the Komiks have been part and parcel of the common Pinoy's daily lives and entertainment as well as the 'culture' of the masses.
If PGMA didn't recommend CJC I don't think CJC would ever make it to the recommending body of this group in his lifetime, just like what happened to Mars Ravelo whose greatness was only perpetuated by film and TV producers, thank God. Those who criticize CJC's nominations only showed how highly politicized they are. If an 'artist' is deserving of the award why can't they deliberate and consider even if they hate the person who made the nomination. Why resort to all these political dramas? To me it's all politics and ignora

So I'm just wondering why those 'quardians of the arts' have never recommended Mars Ravelo or any of Ravelo's classic contemporaries in the past and present to be named as a NA Awardee? CJC, Mars Ravelo etc. etc. have been as qualified as any of those NA Awardees in the past!
What those OA NA Awardees and their peers did only solidified the shallowness and crab mentality of most Pinoys which made it worse because of their being too politicized. They could have resolved this issue in a more civil and NON-DRAMATIC way!
Ewan!

People who don't regard CJC as worthy of high recognitions such as NA Award have been living in planet Pluto for not knowing CJC's contributions to
