Naglabas ng resolution ang Quezon City Prosecutor's Office na nagsasabing may "probable cause" ang reklamong qualified theft na isinampa ng actress-singer na si Jennylyn Mercado laban sa dati niyang personal assistant na si Rowena "Mel Pulmano. Kaya nag-isyu na rin ang Q.C. Regional Trial Court ng warrant of arrest laban kay Mel. Non-bailable ang kasong isinampa ni Jennylyn laban sa kanyang dating PA. (Click here to read related story.)
Pero tila mas nagiging kumplikado ngayon ang kaso dahil, ayon sa legal counsel ni Jennylyn na si Atty. Joji Alonso, hindi pa maipataw ang warrant of arrest kay Mel. May balitang nagtatago na raw ito.
Sa live interview ng Showbiz Central kay Atty. Joji at Jennylyn kahapon, September 13, sinabi ng abugado: "There was a warrant of arrest. In fact, I have a copy of it. It was issued last September 8. Hindi lang siya naise-serve because according to people who are supposed to serve it, hindi siya mahanap."

"Yes, although she claimed na nasa tabi-tabi lang siya. There are people who are looking for her," sagot ni Atty. Joji.
Magmula nang magsimula ang showbiz career si Jennylyn, via StarStruck, ay trusted aide na niya si Mel. May ideya ba siya kung nasaan ang kanyang dating PA?
"Wala... wala akong ideya talaga," sagot ni Jennylyn.
Wala ba siyang pagkakataon na makilala ang pamilya ni Mel?
"Kilala ko naman, pero hindi ko talaga alam kung saan sila nakatira at kung saan man sila nakatira ngayon," aniya.
May plano pa rin daw si Mel na i-pursue ang kasong robbery with child abuse na isinampa nito laban kay Jennylyn sa Rizal Provincial Prosecutor's Office even it was junked before. Ano ang reaksiyon niya rito?
"Para sa akin, siguro desisyon na niya 'yan," sabi ni Jennylyn. "Kung ano ang gusto niyang gawin, sige lang. Pero kami kasi, nakakapagod lang. Kung wala namang mangyayari, bakit pa natin itutuloy? Kung wala na talagang pag-asa pa."
Marami rin daw ang nag-aalala kung ang mga pangyayaring ito ay nakakaapekto kay Jennylyn.
"Yes, noong una, kasi first time ko ngang nakasuhan. So, sobrang stressed ako, nag-aalala ako. Pero sa tulong na rin nila Attorney, yung support nila, siyempre ina-assure rin nila ako na huwag akong mag-alala. So, ngayon, medyo okey na rin ako."
Tinanong naman ni Pia si Atty. Joji kung hindi ba dumating sa puntong inisip nilang makipag-settle na lang out of court to keep everyone from stress?
"How I wish, Pia," sagot ng legal counsel ni Jennylyn. "If there's anything I like, sana wala na lang kaso. Especially on her [Jennylyn's] case, she's very young. She just came from a very difficult experience, having her kid and all that, at ngayon, meron pang problema.
"Unfortunately, hindi ganoon kadali. Unang-una kasi, principal case talaga, qualified-theft case against Mel. Ito yung malaking halaga na umabot ng almost half a million. Ito yung nang makita niya [Jen] ang kanyang bank account, wala na halos laman.
"So, because of that kaya kailangang magdemanda. May kasunod 'yan na maraming cheques ni Jennylyn na na-issue na hindi niya pirma. Kasi lahat 'yan, na-check na ng NBI [National Bureau of Investigation] at PNP Crime Lab. At lumabas, hindi niya signature. So, palsipikado lahat.
"Kaso lang, yung naisyuhan niya ng cheques, we are facing one case right now, idinemanda si Jennylyn ng estafa. Thinking that it was her, sana nga ma-resolve na yun soon para makita rin na wala talaga siyang kasalanan.
"At ang kaakibat niyan, yung countersuit na isinampa naman ni Mel sa kanya, na nagkaroon daw ng robbery with child abuse pa. But the fiscal or the investigating prosecutor na nag-imbestiga ng kaso, nagsabi na wala naman talagang nakitang ebidensiya. In fact, it was there where a lot of lies... it was concocted or anything."
So, there's no probable cause?
