The recent survey conducted by Synovate Media Atlas concerning viewership habits showed that Summit Media's titles were on top as the most read locally published magazines in the country. From November 13, 2008 to May 16, 2009, Synovate interviewed 8,000 people from all economic classes in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and came up with results that indicated Summit Media's dominance  over other print magazines.

Men's magazine FHM Philippines gets the crown with 1,070,484 readers in the whole country. PEP.ph's sister YES! Magazine comes in second with 667, 145 readers while Cosmopolitan Magazine settles in with 618,241. Good Housekeeping fills the fourth spot with 421, 275 readers.

EVEN NEWSPAPERS TRAIL BEHIND. The dominance of FHM Philippines and YES! magazine did not beat the competition alone—it even beat other print media like newspapers. The survey showed that FHM and YES! showed higher numbers compared to the average weekday readership of the Philippine Daily Inquirer (632,000) and the Philippine Star (538,000). Cosmopolitan alone has the most number of readers compared to that of the Philippine Star and the Manila Bulletin (with 468,000).

WHAT IS SYNOVATE MEDIA ATLAS. Synovate Media Atlas tracks local print media habits, spending patterns, product ownership, across expanding upper income groups in Asia. The survey group, which hold operations in the Philippines, also conducts surveys in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Synovate amps up existing information gathering by including telephone interviews together with the usual face-to-face process to maximize input in a given wide area (click here for the whole picture)
