Pormal nang sinampahan ng Cavite Prosecutor's Office ng kasong Reckless Imprudence Resulting In Homicide si Richard Gutierrez dahil sa pagkamatay ng personal assistant niyang si Nomar Pardo nang maaksidente ang sports car na minamaneho ng aktor noong May 22 sa Silang, Cavite.
Pero ayon kay Richard, handa siyang harapin ang kasong isinampa laban sa kanya ng biyuda ni Nomar na si Lorayne Pardo. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
"We tried our best, we tried our best to talk to them properly, to settle. But, ayaw talaga nila. Now we have no choice but to fight it out on [sic] court," sabi ni Richard nang makapanayam siya ng entertainment press sa local premiere ng Hollywood film The Echo noong Miyerkules, September 23, sa SM Megamall.
Dagdag ng aktor, "Ako, I was kind of expecting it already. Of course, nalungkot ako at ang buong pamilya ko na kinailangan at inisip nilang pumunta sa ganung klaseng desisyon. Hindi ko ine-expect na sa ganitong time ng buhay ko pa nangyari ang ganitong klase ng kaso.
"Pero para sa akin, yun ang gusto nilang tahakin na paraan... For us, you know, kung yun ang gusto nila, then we have to fight it out on [sic] court. Lalaban ako, lalaban ako dahil hindi ko naman ginusto yung nangyari. Wala akong criminal intention, or wala akong binalak na ganun. Basta lalaban kami."
Kahapon, Sept. 24, ay nagpatawag ng presscon si Lorayne at ang kanyang mga abugado upang ipahayag ang kanilang saloobin sa naging desisyon ng Office of the Provincial Prosecutor ng Cavite. Ayon kay Richard, napaghandaan na niya kung anuman ang sasabihin ni Lorayne sa media. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
"Yes, they can talk to the media, they can tell the people what they want. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa mga tao na ako, totoo ang mga sinasabi ko. Aksidente yung nangyari, hindi ko ginusto yung nangyari. I think gusto nilang i-demolish yung character ko, but hindi ako papayag. I'm gonna let my lawyers to do their job," saad ni Richard.
Gaya ba ng ina niyang si Annabelle Rama ay naniniwala siya na may malaking tao na nag-uudyok kay Lorayne para i-push nito ang kaso laban sa kanya?
"Alam mo, hindi mahirap isipin, o sumasagi yun minsan sa isip ko na baka may tao behind them, pushing them to do this, sinusuhulan sila... Pero, siyempre, hindi natin malalaman kung ano talaga ang totoo, pero hindi ko maiwasang maisip yun."
Dagdag pa ni Richard, "I just want to let everybody knows that na kahit na nangyayari ito sa akin ngayon, it motivates and inspires me to work harder."
Nag-post na ng cash bond na P30,000 si Richard sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court noong Sept. 23 kaugnay ng isinampang kaso laban sa kanya.
