Binigyang-linaw ni Kris Aquino kahapon, October 11, sa The Buzz ang tungkol sa malisyosong text message na naglili-link sa pangalan ng kanyang kapatid at 2010 elections presidentiable na si Noynoy Aquino sa Star Magic benefit event na Magic For A Cause, na ginanap kinagabihan. Tinutukoy rin daw ng text na bukod sa layunin ng naturang event ng Star Magic na makakalap ng donasyon para sa mga nasalanta ng mga bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng, ito rin daw ay fund drive para sa kampanya ni Noynoy.
"I'll just clarify something kasi finorward sa akin. Meron mga maling text na umiikot kasi ngayon, na about the Magic For A Cause. I won't say what's in the text anymore. But kasi finorward sa akin and sinasabing 'bring your checkbooks to help Noy.' This has nothing to do with Noy.
"Yung Magic For A Cause is a Star Magic event that has nothing whatsoever to do with my brother. And in fact, it's really to help the victims of [typhoon] Ondoy and Pepeng. It's unfair sa Star Magic to link it with Noy because meron silang sarili nilang adhikain, di ba?" paglilinaw ni Kris, kasama ang The Buzz co-host niyang si Boy Abunda.
Ipinagtanggol pa ni Kris ang kanyang Kuya Noy gayundin ang kanyang sarili.
"Sana po magtulung-tulong tayo. Kasi nakalagay po dito na 'break out the bubbly, the champagne and all,' parang hello! Parang it's really in bad taste. And I'm saying it now, Star Magic is doing Magic For A Cause to help Ondoy and Pepeng victims. Nothing whatsoever to do with Noy. And in fact, Boy, you never heard me mention any relief work that my brother has done. I've really been so careful talaga. Pero ngayon, kailangan kong magsalita kasi unfair naman, di ba? Unfair for Star Magic and unfair also for my brother."
Bagamat puwedeng-puwede naman daw ni Kris na i-build up si Noy sa mga shows na kinabibilangan niya gaya ng The Buzz at SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon).
"He was actually in Pangasinan yesterday [Oct. 10]. But in all fairness sa akin, ito talaga puwede kong ipagmalaki, none of my shows ever carried footage of what Noy has done. In fact, kawawa nga kasi other people na tumulong in-air natin, di ba? Pero kasi, para maging proper ako, hindi ko po ginagawa yun dahil pinapanood n'yo ako as Kris, as the personality, not as his sister."
BLACK PROPAGANDA. May mensahe rin si Kris sa mga detractors ni Noynoy.
"So, I'm just saying this na kung nagpapakalat kayo ng black propaganda against my brother, it just proves talaga na matindi ang hatak ng kapatid ko kaya kailangan n'yo siyang siraan nang siraan, di ba?"
Ipinauubaya na lang ni Kris ang tungkol sa pagpapakalat ng kabutihan ni Noynoy at ng ka-tandem nito bilang vice president na si Mar Roxas sa mga taong natulungan na ng dalawa.
"And siguro kung yung mga libu-libong pamilya na natulungan na ni Noynoy at ni Mar, sana po kayo na lang ang gumawa ng paraan to defend them because sila naman po ang nag-reach out para tulungan kayo. Hindi po namin pinublicize, I've been so careful, and I'll continue to be careful. And I just want to say also na yung Magic For A Cause is a Star Magic event in which all politicians, I think, and all presidentiables, have been invited."
Sinegundahan naman ni Boy ang kanyang kaibigan at co-host na si Kris.
"We continue to be careful. We continue to be proper. Pero alam n'yo mga kaibigan, hindi lang ito para sa mga artista, pero ang leksyon that I'm getting here ay you have to be careful, to be cautious about text messages. Dahil hindi po lahat ng mga text messages na umiikot ay may bahid ng katotohanan. I just wonder really, there are people who spend a lot of time just concocting lies. That's why, bahala na po ang Diyos sa atin. Nagdudusa po ang ating bansa. Let's forget, forgive," saad pa ni Boy.
Hindi na nga lang daw masyadong pinapansin ni Kris ang mga paninira sa kanyang Kuya Noynoy. Ang ginagawa na lang daw niya ay magdasal.
"I just don't make pansin kasi I just pray to mom [former President Cory Aquino]. Ang kakampi ko nasa heaven," matalinhangang sabi ni Kris.
Ayon pa kina Boy at Kris, may positibong bagay rin na hatid ang naranasang trahedya sa bagyo at baha ng ating mga kababayan.
"Pero mga kaibigan, itong nangyayari sa ating bayan ay hindi parusa. Pero it's an excuse for all of us to be closer to one another and to help one another," wika ni Boy.
Dagdag pa ni Kris, "Actually, it's an invitation for all of us to do something good to our countrymen."
