Mismong si Kris Aquino ang naghayag kahapon, October 11, sa ASAP '09 na contract artista na ng Star Magic, ang talent arm ng ABS-CBN, ang kanyang bunsong anak na si Baby James Yap.
"Baby James is now a member of the Star Magic family," deklarasyon ni Kris.
Malugod namang sinalubong si Baby James ng tinaguriang "hari" ng Star Magic na si Piolo Pascual.
"Baby James, welcome to Star Magic family!" ani Piolo.
Nagpasalamat naman si Kris sa pamunuan ng Star Magic.
"Thank you Mr. M [Johnny Manahan], and Mariole [Alberto] for welcoming your youngest member sa Star Magic."
Nag-guest sina Kris at Baby James sa ASAP para personal na tanggapin ang Gold Record Award na ibinigay ng Star Records para sa outstanding sales of more than 10,000 units ng album nilang mag-ina under Star Records na We Are 1.
Kaaagad na pinasalamatan ni Kris ang Star Records, ABS-CBN, ASAP, at ang mga shows niya sa Dos (SNN at The Buzz, para sa promotion ng album); ang mga artists na kumanta sa album gaya nina Piolo, Gary Valenciano, Aiza Seguerra at Rhap Salazar; lahat ng mga record stores; at lahat ng mga taong bumili ng We Are 1 album.
HELP FOR TYPHOON VICTIMS. Dahil sa tagumpay nilang ito ay inihayag ni Kris ang tulong na ibibigay nila sa Star Magic kaugnay ng benefit event at fashion show nitong Magic For A Cause na ginanap kagabi sa ABS-CBN para sa mga nasalanta ng mga bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng.
"And in support for Magic For A Cause tonight [October 11], I'm pledging lahat ng royalties na tatanggapin namin ni Baby James for We Are 1 ay ibibigay namin dun sa Magic For A Cause. Donation 'yan ni Baby James. Because today would have been my mom and dad's 55th wedding anniversary. So, I'm doing this also to honor my mom and dad.kasi alam namin kung gaano kaimportanteng magtulungan tayo ngayon.
"And sa dami po ng nakikita nating mga kababayan natin na nahihirapan dahil sa [bagyong] Ondoy at Pepeng. And most especially because Pepeng really affected our area in Tarlac and in Northern Luzon. So, Annabelle [Regalado-Borja, Star Records managing head], magbigay ka na ng computation bukas para mabigay na natin para sa mga biktima ng Ondoy at Pepeng," pahayag ni Kris.
Dagdag pa ni Kris, ibinabalik lang daw nila sa mga tao ang tagumpay na tinatamasa nila ngayon.
"Baby James, di ba, it's important to share? Because we are so blessed, so dapat lang na lahat ng blessings na tinatanggap namin, maibahagi po namin sa inyo dahil kung hindi n'yo naman po kami sinusuportahan, wala kaming maibibigay at maibabalik sa inyo. So, maraming-maraming salamat po sa lahat ng mga Kapamilya," ani Kris.
Ayon naman sa Star Records, malapit na rin daw maging platinum ang album nina Kris.
"Konting-konti na lang po at platinum na kami. Gusto po namin ni Baby James na talagang maraming maibahagi sa ating mga kababayan na totoo namang nangangailangan ngayon. And I commend Star Magic for doing that tonight sa Magic For A Cause because we must lead our celebrities in a very positive way. And in our own way talaga marami tayong matutulungan at mayayakap ng ating pagmamahal at pagkalinga."
Sa huli, nagpahabol pa ulit ng pasasalamat si Kris sa ASAP.
"And again thank you ASAP, fourth awarding ko na po dito. For a non-singer like me, ASAP, thank you so much for giving me all the gold and platinum albums."
