Masaya si Guji Lorenzana na sa pagsabak niya sa mundo ng showbiz ay nabibigyan din siya ng opportunity pagdating sa pag-arte kahit singing talaga ang forte niya.
Pagkatapos ng Precious Hearts Romances Presents Bud Brothers nila ni Kaye Abad, sila ulit ang magkatambal sa bagong episode ng afternoon series na ito, ang Somewhere In My Heart, na umeere na ngayon sa ABS-CBN.
"Na-surprise lang ako kasi bago pa ako, I came to ABS as a singer. I didn't know it will happen," sabi ni Guji nang makausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa taping ng show nila kahapon, October 22, sa West Avenue, Quezon City.
Although may album nang nagawa si Guji, singing at theater daw talaga ang hilig niya kaya hindi masasabing bago sa kanya ang pag-arte.
KAYE ABAD. Napansin namin kung paano tumitig si Guji kay Kaye habang ini-interview ang huli. Attracted ba siya kay Kaye?
"Well, we're friends. Of course, of course," sagot niya.
Posible ba siyang ma-in love kay Kaye?
"There's always a possibility," nakangiti niyang sabi.
Wala bang problema sa part niya? Single ba siya?
"Yes, I don't know with her. You better ask her. Time can only tell. So, it really depends on how things go. It's still early, we're very good friends."
Hindi ba siya natsa-challenge sa sitwasyon nila ngayon?
"I would never hide my feelings, although I haven't told her anything. She doesn't know. Kaye is a great person. I like her a lot but... We're still getting to know each other right now. We're still enjoying each other's company."
What attracted him to Kaye?
"I'm very attracted to her. I like her being small. I like petite girls," nakangiti niyang pag-amin.
ROXANNE GUINOO. Hindi pa rin nawawala ang mga tanong kay Guji about Roxanne Guinoo at ang naging impression na tinanggihan siyang makasama nito sa Bud Brothers. Wala kasi sana si Kaye kung hindi nag-backout sa naturang project si Roxanne.
Mas gusto na ba ni Guji na si Kaye ang naging kapareha niya?
"Yes," mabilis na sagot ng singer-actor. "Because I'm new and I'm comfortable working with her na, that I feel I might have a hard time with someone else because I'm a very shy person. In fact, sa first few days namin sa Bud Brothers, almost three days we didn't talk. First scene namin, kissing scene. I do not know her, we didn't work, tapos kissing scene agad. I was really shy. So, I cannot imagine how was it with someone else.
"I've worked na rin with Bea Alonzo in Your Song, I've worked with Maja Salvador in MMK [Maalaala Mo Kaya], and even with them, I was shy to work with them. So, I was hoping it [team-up with Kaye] will continue to work because right now, I am very comfortable.
"But it doesn't mean that I'm limited as an actor. It's just now, it seems the beginning of my career. If it works out, then it's good for me because she [Kaye] teaches me a lot how to act, how to carry myself. So, for me, that's chemistry. It's like teacher and her student."
Lumaki si Guji sa States, pero mahusay pa rin siyang mag-Tagalog..
"Medyo may slang pa rin po, but I'm learning... And si Kaye, she's helping me a lot. Most of the time, she talks to me in Tagalog," banggit ni Guji.
