Robin Padilla recently went to Iran to study the country's martial arts, pahlavani. During Lee's Make History fashion show at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium last October 22, he told media people about this little-heard form of contact sports. "Ito po yung pinagmulan ng wrestling." He said that his training will be used in the action movie he's producing for BB Gandanghari.

Early this year, Robin Padilla announced that he's allowing Queenie, his eldest daughter with Liezl Sicangco, to entertain suitors.
His only condition was: "Kahit sino puwedeng manligaw.
Some months later, the action star told media people that he has not found a qualified boyfriend for his daughter. Queenie, 18, was reportedly spotted in a mall with budding actor PJ Valerio, while Kylie, 16, was said to be the crush of Starstruck winner Mark Herras.
In a half-serious, half-joking tone, Robin spoke a truism: "Meron ba namang tatay na boto sa manliligaw?"
At this point, Robin wants them to focus on their studies. Love, according to him, is "pampagulo."
He reiterated, "Hindi ako boto kahit kanino.
DAD'S PERIOD OF ADJUSTMENT. As a dad, he admits being strict.
Robin has realized that he has to go through his own period of adjustment, and accept that his little girls have grown into beautiful ladies.
And in the event that he does not favor their decision, "wala akong magagawa," Robin said pensively.
He knows that the final decision will be made by Queniee and Kylie, so he added: "Siyempre, kung saan maligaya yung anak ko, maligaya na rin ako."
And how does his wife take all these suitor-related matters of her two daughters?
One of the showbiz reporters brought up the name of Mark Herras. The action star was mildly surprised. His reaction: "Kapatid ko yun sa Joaquin Bordado. Gusto niya palang maging anak ko ngayon. Nagulat ako."
