Makakasama ng award-winning actress na si Gina Alajar ang anak niyang si Geoff Eigenmann sa bagong episode ng SRO Cinemaserye Presents Carinderia Queen, kung saan kasama rin nila ang mag-amang Rey "PJ" Abellana at Carla Abellana.
Ayon kay Gina, hindi ito ang first time na magkakasama sila ni Geoff sa isang project.
"I've worked with Geoffrey, bata pa siya. When I directed a youth-oriented program here in GMA, it's called Next. Pagkatapos nun, noong bata kasi siya, in and out 'yan. Kapag bumababa ang grades sa eskuwela, hinto. Kapag maganda ang grades, pasok ng artista. Tapos, the next time ko na siyang nadirek was for Kirara. I have acted with him in Maalaala [Mo Kaya]. We played mother and son also. Yun ang last," lahad ni Gina sa panayam sa kanya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
So far, nakita ba niya ang improvements ni Geoff sa pag-arte since siya ang masasabing number one critic ng anak?
"Well, he is improving little by little," sabi ni Gina. "Lalo na dun sa pagsasalita niya. Nag-improve na siya sa kanyang emotional responsibilities when it comes to acting. Ang napansin ko sa kanya, like yesterday was our first taping day, of course, inaalalayan ko siya nang konti and Direk Mac Alejandre is there to guide him also. But there are things also na gusto kong i-correct sa kanya na sinasabi ko na, 'Anak, ganito ang gawin mo, ganyan.' Kaya dalawa ang director niya.
"Actually, ibinubulong ko lang sa kanya at nakukuha naman niya agad. I remember in Kirara when I directed him, he was very young then, ipinapakita ko pa sa kanya kung ano ang gagawin. As in, I would demonstrate to him kung ano ang gagawin. Ngayon, nabi-visualize na niya kung ano ang gagawin."
GINA'S THREE BOYS. Nilinaw naman ni Gina na hindi lang daw siya kay Geoff number one critic kundi pati na sa dalawa pa niyang anak na sina Ryan at AJ Eigenmann.
"Hindi kumpleto ang ano nila, e, yung trabaho nila kung wala akong nasabi kahit na minsan sa trabaho nila," banggit ng actress-director.
May kanya-kanya raw siyang tag sa tatlong anak na lalake noon pa man na nakita niya ang characteristics ng mga ito.
"Ryan is my character actor. But AJ is the most sensitive among the three, Rio del Mar pa lang. And Geoffrey is my heartthrob," paglalarawan ni Gina.
Yun nga lang, si AJ ay na nasa Las Vegas ngayon at nag-aaral doon. Wala na raw itong interes sa pag-aartista.
"So far now, when I asked him about it, wala na... ayaw na niya [mag-artista]. Like he's coming home next year for vacation, I asked him kung, 'Pag-uwi mo ba, gusto mong mag-artista ulit, guesting-guesting? Sabi niya, 'No, I don't like."
Masaya raw siya sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ng tatlong anak.
"Ryan is working at pumapasok siya sa isang phase ng buhay niya, he's getting married next year. He's getting married in February, so panibagong chapter na naman 'yan ng buhay niya. Geoffrey is doing very well in his career.
"AJ is studying Veterinary Medicine. And he has plans for himself, e. Meron pa siyang gustong aralin. Nag-e-explore siya ng options pa. Hindi na ako magugulat if one day, he will tell me that he wants to be a marine biologist, yung ganyan... Basta yung isipan niya ngayon is studying and reaching himself sa ibang field. Definitely, not showbiz."
GINA'S EX-HUSBAND. Matagal nang hiwalay si Gina sa ama ng kanyang mga anak na si Michael de Mesa, na ngayon ay naka-base na sa U.S. Pero magkahiwalay pa rin ito at anak na si AJ dahil nasa Los Angeles si Michael.
May communication pa ba sila ni Michael?
"So far, wala... sa mga kids, sila na ang nag-uusap-usap," sagot ni Gina. "I mean, kung meron siyang business para kausapin niya ako, he can call me anytime. But so far, wala naman kaming business sa isa't isa ngayon."
Wala pa ba itong kapalit sa puso niya?
"Marami na siyang naging kapalit!" natatawa niyang sabi.
