Model-actress-singer KC Concepcion is happy with the turnout of her father's recent 46^th birthday celebration held last November 8 at the Manila Yacht Club.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with KC earlier today, November 12, during the Close-Up Halik Meter Challenge staged at the Market! Market! in Taguig City.

"It wasn't what I was expecting. Sobrang ganda nung boat and puro ilaw, favorite color ko pa 'yong ilaw na purple na makikita mo sa dagat!" KC beamed with obvious excitement.

KC clarified that the yacht used to host the party is not owned by her father, former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion. The vessel is owned by a good friend of her dad, who volunteered to throw a special get-together to mark the special occasion.

The part was strictly an intimate affair attended by Gabby's immediate family and closest friends. It was also the perfect moment for KC to meet and reacquaint herself with her father's kin. But what made the evening extra special for KC was the opportunity to bond with her half-siblings—a rare occurrence given the circumstances surrounding their personal lives and the actress' tight work schedule.

"Nandoon 'yong kapatid ko na [edad] 20s, so parang magka-barkada lang kami and doon lang kami nakapag-usap nang medyo mahaba-haba," KC said.

For KC, the chance meeting provided something more significant when it comes to her personal relationship with her father's other children.

"It's a new chapter in our lives," she said. "Parang 'yong relationship naming magkakapatid, ngayon lang ulit talagang nagiging maganda."

In an earlier interview with the members of the entertainment press, KC talked at length about her budding relationship with her half-sisters: "These days talagang parang crossroads din sa akin. May mga changes din bilang ate or bilang anak na ngayon ko lang nararamdaman. Talagang sobrang importante ng mga kapatid at ng pamilya dahil anim kaming magkakapatid and lahat kami babae, and ako po 'yong panganay sa aming lahat.

"Although 'yong isa wala siya sa country, sa ibang bansa nakatira, but 'yong sumunod po sa akin akin 21 years old 'yon, yung nagiging ka-close ko ngayon and we're both making an effort to see each other, na 'yong times na nawala sa amin bilang magkapatid na magkalapit 'yong edad and parang magkaibigan din, ngayon namin nire-rebuild. Ang maganda kasi, early 20s pa lang din kaming dalawa and ang dami pang mangyayari sa life namin na puwede naming pagdaanan together."
