"You have Justine [Ferrer] with her fairy-tale story of being voted off and then made it back sa merge. And then you have Amanda na low-key muna. And then sa huli, sunud-sunod yung immunity pinapanalunan niya. So, either one of them is deserving, e," said Paolo, shown in photo with eventual winner Amanda Colley Van Cooll.

"Whether it's Justine or Amanda, either one would have been perfect e. You know, you have Justine with her fairy-tale story of being voted off and then made it back sa merge. She's the Isla Purgatoryo Queen, lumaban nang lumaban hanggang sa umabot sa Final 3. And she could have made it.
"And then you have Amanda na low-key, low-key muna. She stayed in the game and held alliances closer to her and all that. And then sa huli, sunud-sunod yung immunity pinapanalunan niya. So, either one of them is deserving, e," paliwanag ni Paolo nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) pagkatapos ng live Finale ng Survivor Philippines: Palau kagabi, November 13, sa Studio 5 ng GMA Network.
SUSPENSE TILL THE END.
I was counting number five, and then I counted number six, and then nag-tie three all. And then I held the seventh vote, of course, I have to pause for a commercial.
"I was so tempted na silipin ko lang. Tignan ko lang kung sino ba ito. Pero hindi ko ginawa. It was only nung bumalik na on air na sinilip ko na. Tapos sinabi ko, 'Jef, hindi ikaw.'
"If it was Jef, we're gonna vote again, with the seven [Jury] choosing between the two. So, we're forced to come up with a 4-3. Pero yun nga, kapag nangyari yun, it will be based on kung ano yung napanood nila. So, puwedeng magbago yung desisyon nila, di ba, on how it was made and all these things."
"I don't know if you watched, ha, pero wala nang time. I'm not sure who voted for whom based on penmanship, e. That's all I knew. The others naman may pa-message-message pa, so napaka-unpredictable, e."
Actually, ang alam ko they are in the final stage of negotiation ng pangatlong Season. Of course, I'd love to do another one."
OPEN TO OTHER TV STATIONS.
It's more of like at this point I have not signed any contract with any network. So, hindi pa masasabi na lumilipat or what."
"I don't want to say yes, I don't want to say no. Kasi when you say yes, puwede nilang i-deny yun. So at this point, I want to play my cards right... After 12 years of hosting on TV, actually 14, I just want to work. If Survivor Philippines Season 3 is for me, which is June pa of next year, then I'm gonna have to look elsewhere to do a project muna in the meantime."
Nandiyan pa naman ang weekly morning talk show niya na Unang Hirit, pero "ang goal ko kasi is to find a primetime show that would sustain me within the nine months na hindi ako makikita on air. Ang core competency ko is hosting. That's what I love to do. That's where I know I'm good at. Siyempre, yun ang papasukin kong trabaho... The opportunities are not yet given to me at this point, so I have to look elsewhere, I guess.
"Like I said, gusto ko lang magtrabaho. And I think I've been in this business long enough to know na tatagal naman ako, alam mo yun? So, it's really just a matter of where am I gonna go? And the good thing is, sabi ko nga, it's better na confused ka with a lot of options and a lot of doors, rather than you're stuck na wala kang choice, di ba? Tapos ano ka... ipit, di ba? So, I'm happy with my situation now."
"Of course, they were offering me... kasi nga my contract expired September 15. So, since then we've been negotiating and trying to come up with another contract. And, you know, after being in the business for so long, I already know what career planning is and what just having a project is...
"And there's so many things that I wanna do, e. I want to do a talk show. I want to do a game show. I still want a reality show. I want to conceptualize shows. I want to do radio. I wanna write. So, until those doors are open by me then hindi ko magagawa yun. Alam ko, there's no one else to rely on but me in finding those kind of opportunities, e."
