StarStruck alumna Arci Muñoz apologizes to Kean Cipriano of local band Callalily because she was misunderstood in her last interview with StarTalk.

 

The 20-year-old actress-host said she did not mean to deny him when Startalk host Joey de Leon asked her about the real score between them.

 

"Nagagalit siya noong StarTalk kasi dineny ko raw siya.  Sabi ko, 'Hindi kita dineny.'  Kasi, galit na galit daw ang mga fans niya sa Internet.  Sabi sa akin ni Tito Joey [de Leon], 'Matagal na raw kayo nung Kean?' Sabi ko, 'Hindi po, matagal na po kaming magkakilala," she told the media during the press conference of StarStruck V last Monday, November 16, at the GMA Network building in Quezon City.

 

She explained the reaction of the Callalily band member, "Kasi si Kean hindi siya sanay sa ganun na may issues.  In-explain ko sa kanya, sabi ko it's part of my job.  He really understands.  Sobrang understanding ni Kean, wala akong masabi sa ugali niya.  Cool 'yon, e.  Tatawa na lang siya, 'Uy, dineny mo raw ako.'  Sabi ko, 'I did not.'"

 

The new StarStruck  host said she met Kean when she auditioned for the reality-based artista search back in 2006.  They never got the chance to know each other though because Kean, who also planned to join the contest, couldn't leave his band at that time.

 

It was only this year that they got to hang out together after Kean was introduced to her again by her fellow StarStruck avenger and bandmate Dion Ignacio. 

 

"Matagal na po kaming magkakilala pero officially [as boyfriend] six months. Four years na kami magkakilala, four years ago. Ngayon lang ulit kami nagkita," said Arci.

 

Arci described her boyfriend as someone who's cool.  "Para lang kaming magbarkada magturingan."

 

Kean is quite involved with her band called Philia.

 

"He's helping out my band," said Arci. "Siya kasi, di ba Callalilly siya, e, sobrang laki ng influence na nabibigay niya sa amin sa pag-a-arrange ng kanta.  Si Kean, sobrang hands-on siya sa amin.  Kumbaga, tumatayo siyang musical producer at the same time parang manager kasi minsan siya 'yong nagbibigay ng gigs sa amin."

 

Arci also has good words for Kean's family.  She related, "'Yong family niya, wala akong masabi.  Sobrang welcome ako sa family niya.  Feeling ko naman kasi sobrang cool ng family niya.  Sobrang I love his family.  So, if ever na hindi kami mag-work out, hindi ko makakalimutan 'yong family niya.  Pero sobrang okay kami ni Kean."

 

Before his relationship with Arci, Kean's name was already heard in showbiz because he was formerly linked to Danita Paner, the adopted daughter of veteran actress Daisy Romualdez.

 

Arci refused to comment on this issue.  She said she never asks Kean about his past relationships.

 

"That is his past," she reiterated.  "Ang importante sa akin 'yong ngayon, kung ano 'yong pinapakita niya sa akin.  Hindi naman niya nababanggit 'yon.  Ako naman, though I'm willing to listen kung sakaling gusto niya magkuwento.  Pero bakit ko pa uungkatin 'yon, di ba?  Matagal na 'yon at saka wala sa akin.  Basta masaya na kami."
