Ganadong-ganado si Dingdong Dantes nang mag-taping siya para sa bago niyang hosting job sa Family Feud noong Huwebes ng gabi, Nobyembre 19, sa GMA-7. Sa November 30 ang una niyang labas sa naturang game show kunsaan pinalitan niya si Richard Gomez. Hindi niya inakala na isang araw ay tatayo siya bilang host nito.
"Natatandaan ko pa kasi ang time na naglaro kami sa Family Feud. Team Dyesebel pa kami noon. Muntik na kaming manalo that time. Kaya napapangiti ako kasi hindi ko inakala na balang araw I would be experiencing this bilang game show host na.
"Alam ko na nakapag-establish na si Richard Gomez sa show na ito and that is a tough act to follow. Kaya ginagawa ko rin ang mga ginagawa rin ni Goma. I am being natural and I am enjoying every minute of the show," ngiti ni Dong.
EXIT DINGDONG, ENTER DENNIS. Dahil sa Family Feud ay kinailangang mag-exit si Dingdong sa StarStruck kunsaan four years din siyang naging host. Malungkot man kay Dingdong na umalis sa talent search ay nabigyan naman ang iba ng pagkakataong mag-host nito, at si Dennis Trillo ang napili ng network na pumalit kay Dingdong.
"Para sa akin, magandang replacement for me si Dennis Trillo," diin ni Dingdong.

"Hindi rin mawawala ang i-compare ang type of hosting niya sa type ng hosting ko. It cannot be helped talaga. May kanya-kanya kaming paraan ng pag-host kasi doon lumalabas ang personalidad ng bawat isa sa amin.
"I know that Dennis will be good at it. Nakikita ko naman kay Dennis yung dedication niya sa kanyang mga trabaho. Kaya let's all give him a chance at suportahan natin ang pagpasok ni Dennis sa StarStruck V."
HEAVENLY RATING FOR STAIRWAY. Ang isa pang ikinatutuwa ni Dingdong ay ang patuloy na pagtaas sa ratings ng Stairway To Heaven. Ilang beses na ngang naungusan nito ang Darna ni Marian Rivera. Ilang linggo na lang kasi ang natitira para sa series nila ni Rhian Ramos kaya lalong inaabangan ang mga magagandang eksena nila.
"Masaya kaming lahat sa set kasi yung mga pinaghirapan namin for the past two months nga ay nakikita na namin ang magandang resulta. Natutuwa kami sa patuloy na pagsuporta ng marami sa Stairway To Heaven, lalo na nga't we are nearing yung end pero matagal pa naman. Namnamin pa nila ang mga malalaki at magagandang eksena namin ni Rhian sa show.
"Siyempre ay una naming pinasasalamatan diyan ay ang GMA-7 para sa pagtiwala nila sa aming lahat sa series na ito. Without their help, wala tayong mapapanood na Stairway To Heaven, di ba? Tapos ay lahat na ng involve sa show who worked so hard day and night para mabigyan tayo ng magandang show.
"And of course, not to forget, salamat sa Diyos kasi kung hindi dahil sa Kanya, wala lahat ng ito sa amin. Kaya we give back to Him all the glory. Kung ano ang success ng mga shows namin sa GMA-7, it's all because of the Lord. Kaya maraming, maraming salamat sa Kanya," ngiti ni Dong.
Inaanyayahan ni Dingdong ang lahat ng kabataan na samahan siya sa isang malaking youth gathering ng Ayos Na! movement sa Sunday, November 22, sa Risen Garden na malapit sa Quezon City Hall. Si Dingdong ang youth representative ng Advocates of Youth and Students for Noynoy Aquino (Ayos Na!).
Magkakaroon din ng mini-concert kunsaan tampok sina Frencheska Farr, Geoff Taylor, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, OJ Mariano, Josh Santana, at marami pang iba.
