Mukhang mas welcome na ngayon kay Iza Calzado na nakikitang magkasama sila ng non-showbiz boyfriend niya sa ilang showbiz functions, tulad ng event sa isang men's magazine kung saan nakita sila ng Startalk.
Pero hindi pa rin daw masasabing sanay na ang boyfriend ni Iza sa showbiz. In time, sabi ng aktres, magkukuwento din daw siya tungkol sa present lovelife niya.
Kung trabaho naman ang pag-uusapan, alam ni Iza na maiintriga ang pagpalit niya kay Sunshine Dizon sa Council ng StarStruck Season 5.
"Initially, I don't want to accept it. I said, plantsahin niyo muna 'yan bago ko tanggapin. Kasi ayokong mapalaki pa ang isyu between us.
"Kasi ako naman, hindi ko naman nilapitan ang proyekto at hiningi, di ba, or something. But you know, I was given an opportunity to have more work and fill up a spot that needed somebody to take its place.
"And when I thought about it, sinabi ko, wala na rin sigurong masama and it's something I've never done before, so, as always, I wanted to try something new, so tinanggap ko siya."
GIVING SUNSHINE HER SPACE. Tumanggi naman si Iza na magbigay ng komento sa pag-alis ni Sunshine sa limelight dahil sa sinasabing problema nito sa kalusugan.
Aniya, "Ayokong magsalita tungkol dun. Basta, I always wish her the best. Kung saan siya masaya. Kasi hindi ko rin naman alam kung ano ang nangyari. So I'd rather really not talk about it kasi more personal, di ba?
"Lalo na because there has been issue between us, so ayoko nang palakihin yun. And I'm sure, that's why nga she's not in the limelight as of now, so let's give her that. Mahirap kasi baka sabihin, plastic ba... yung ganun."
Professional rivalry daw ang pinagmulan ng gap nila, "pero malalim ang pinagsamahan namin," sabi ni Iza na ilang beses nang nakatrabaho sa mga teleserye si Sunshine. "So kahit na ano ang mangyari, I only want what's best for her and wish her the best."
Naiintriga man siya when it comes to Sunshine, masaya naman daw siya na this time, when it comes to her lovelife, wala nang maibatong intriga sa kanya.
"Actually, that's the reason why I choose a non-showbiz personality as well because I choose to have a life separate from my showbiz life. Parang I have a private life for my family, other people and friends. Hindi naman masama na showbiz lang ang buhay mo, pero I want to have that option."
