"Ang laking tulong kasi na yung passing niya was a very peaceful and beautiful passing. Actually, nandoon kaming lahat, family, and we were whispering to his ear, assuring him that we are gonna be okay. I was praying to his ear. Kasi at that moment, ang nanaig sa akin yung I wanted him to go home kumbaga kay Mama Mary. Kasi that's what he's always wanted. Sa bahay, kumbaga, tanggap namin. Pero siyempre, hindi pa talaga nagsi-sink in," says Ina Feleo about her father, the late Johnny Delgado.

Kuwento ni Ina, "Ang gusto niyang makita... ang last face na gusto niyang makita was my mom. Sabi niya, 'I want you to be the last person that I'll see.'
At what point were they told that the end was near?
"Actually, a week ago lang," sagot ni Ina. "A week before his death. Kasi kumbaga, siyempre the doctors will do lahat ng puwedeng gawin, di ba? Pero when we brought him to this alternative doctor na ni-refer ni Direk Olive Lamasan, na nire-replenish ka with vitamins, ganun... So, si Mommy, we asked the doctor, 'How serious is it?' Sabi ng doctor, 'He's guarded.' Sabi namin, 'What guarded?' Malubha. Sabi ni Mommy, 'How many months does he have?' Sabi sa amin, 'Any time.' So, dun na nag-break down si Mommy, ako.
Kasi he's so full of life, di ba?" sabi ni Ina.
PEOPLE WHO LOVE JOHNNY. During the VTR na ipinalabas bago ang interview kay Ina, ilang mga artista ang nagbigay ng magagandang pananalita tungkol kay Johnny bilang katrabaho at bilang tao—sina Jericho Rosales, Angelica Panganiban, Diether Ocampo, Amy Austria, Sandy Andolong. Gloria Romero, Sen. Bong Revilla, Phillip Salvador, at Cherry Pie Picache.
Listening to all these people paying tribute to her dad, what was in her heart?
"Kasi parang I'm so overwhelmed na ang laki niyang kawalan. And it's true, all his friends... Kumbaga si Daddy is not that public.
"Kasi when we were told na it's time, sabi namin agad, we want this to be very comfortable for him. Immediately, we texted, we called all his friends and family to come and say whatever... Parang give the chance to say what he wanted to say. Pero you know si Daddy, nung dumating yung friends niya puro siya, 'I love you. I love you.' And then, it is more to give the people the chance to say what they wanted to say to him."
LAST DAYS.
"In the first two days in his last week, nakakausap pa siya. Yung first day mahina na, pero naririnig pa. To the last minute, rume-respond siya. The night before nang mag-Mass si Monsignor Clem, sabi niya sa amin, 'You know at this point, unti-unti nang nawawala yung senses.' But the last to go, he said, was hearing. So sabi niya, 'You whisper to his ear and you touch him. Assure him na he's going to a better place," kuwento ni Ina.
So, there was no pain?
"Yung pain... he was under pain meds. Inasikaso talaga namin na you know if he's going, ayaw namin na mag-suffer pa siya, as much as possible.
Pero yun nga, I thanked him talaga. I thanked him for the life that he's giving me and for everything na na-instill niya sa akin. And you know kasi si Daddy, siya yung... OA siyang tao kumbaga. Parang every time I go into something, ang layo-layo ng tingin niya. Feeling niya, kaya naming abutin yun. Ikaw, parang very unsure. Pero siya, sigurado siya. So, that's what I'm really gonna miss. Ngayon, pipilitin kong ako yung mangarap and I'll go for it."
