Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos will soon say goodbye to their first romantic comedy TV series as husband and wife, George and Cecil.

Although their show is doing well in the ratings game, the TV host-actor admitted to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that their weekly sitcom is scheduled to have its last episode sometime in January or February.

He explained, "Actually, dapat late this year matatapos na ang show.  But we got extended.  Then, George and Cecil will give way to Habang May Buhay, the soap opera of Juday with Derek Ramsay.  So, siguro mga late January or early February, that's just about the end of George and Cecil."

Ryan still has something to look forward to next year with regard to working with his wife.  The couple will do another movie together, but Ryan was quick to say that it will not be the third installment of their hit movie Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.

"We're slated to do two movies next year.  Sana may matapos kahit isa," Ryan said.  "This time around, we should be working with Regal by next year, we have a commitment pa with them. Tingnan na lang natin kung ano 'yong mapusuan ni Mother [Lily Monteverde, Regal matriarch] na pelikula para sa amin."

TALENTADONG PINOY.  While waiting for the movie, Ryan will keep himself busy with his top-rating talent show Talentadong Pinoy on TV5.

The TV host took this opportunity to thank all the viewers who have been very supportive to his weekend show.

"I'm just thankful," said Ryan.  "It took us a long time also for Talentadong Pinoy to actually be a show that mattered, 'no?  For the six months, we weren't really figuring in the rating sheets.  Pero about eight months, medyo nag-climb up the ladder of ratings hanggang sa we hit number one.  Right now, we still get top rating, so I'm just thankful for that."

What can he say about the other TV networks which seem to be following their format—ABS-CBN launched it morning program called Showtime, while GMA-7 created It's ShoWWWtime.

Ryan said he couldn't do anything about it.  He added, "As for other networks doing what we do on TV5, I mean, hey, it's a free business.  If they wanna put up a show, it's all right pero sana hindi.  But they're free to do so."

The TV5 host also stated, "We welcome the competition.  I mean, we did the show without competition in mind.  We just got lucky na naging number one, so pasalamat na lang ako doon.  We won't let anybody bother us na lang.  We'll just do things the way we've always done it."
