Given a choice, mas gusto ni Heart Evangelista na isang non-showbiz guy ang susunod niyang maging boyfriend.
"Non-showbiz ang gusto ko. Wala pa naman sa ngayon. Gusto ko kasi fresh start. Pero meron akong mga dine-date, friendly dates, kasi I'm really not ready for anything," sabi ni Heart nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa presscon ng Full House.
Isiniwalat din ni Heart na may constant date siya ngayon.
"His name is Ian Dy. Actually, he was my first boyfriend. He's into politics, he's a councilor in Isabela. Siya yung nasa Metro magazine. His dad is a mayor in Isabela, in Alicia," banggit ng young actress.
May chance na maging sila ulit?
"Ewan ko," sagot niya. "Kasi, honestly, the thought of being committed, nasu-suffocate ako. So I don't think about it right now. Kasi kapag iniisip kong may chance, parang hindi ako makahinga."
Ikinuwento rin ni Heart sa PEP ang "love story" nila ni Ian.
"I was with him before, mga two and a half years years, I was 17. Nag-break kami nung time na yun, although boto yung parents ko sa kanya. But I was so young then kasi and yun yung time na nag-aartista na ako. So busy-busy na ako and he had to go to school then, so parang wala din."
Sino ang nag-initiate na magkita sila ulit?
"We've always been friends kasi naging friend siya ng mga sisters ko, and kasi common yung friends namin. So nung nakita ko siya ulit... Every time kasi na heartbroken ako, siya lagi kausap ko. Kapag umiiyak ako, umiiyak din siya.
"Naging friend ko siya. So ngayon, alam niya yung sitwasyon ko, kasi... Hindi ko kayo sinu-showbiz, I'm really not ready for a commitment, na kapag nakipag-commit ako, parang hindi ako makahinga. So, date muna tayo.
"Pero ayoko muna ng commitment kasi also, ang tagal kong nawala sa family ko kaya parang mas gugustuhin kong maka-bonding yung parents ko kesa sa boyfriend. Kasi kapag may boyfriend ka, kapag wala kang trabaho, kasama mo boyfriend mo. Once a week mo lang makikita family mo. E, ngayon, sabik ako sa parents ko, tapos busy pa ako. So, parang... Kung hindi ako committed, balanced ang buhay, ang trabaho ko, 'tsaka family ko. So, parang mas gusto ko yun.
"'Tsaka hindi ako nababaliw!" tawa ni Heart. "Kasi kapag in love ka, baliw ka, e. You know what, it's scientifically proven that when you're in love, in your brain there's a certain substance that's being ejected that makes you dumb!
"Kasi naiba talaga ang utak ko, pinukpok talaga ako ng Diyos sa ulo, binatukan ako nang bonggang bongga! Na more of... I don't prioritize my lovelife, my world isn't around my lovelife, it's everything put together. Masarap kapag balanse. Yun yung nag-i-inspire sa akin. Kapag balanse ang buhay ko, productive ako. Hindi yung parang wala akong magawa."
TAPING IN PRAGUE. Ikinuwento naman ni Heart sa PEP ang experience niya while taping some scenes of Full House sa Prague, Czech Republic.
"It was a wonderful experience, iba silang magtrabaho. But I like it because they were so professional. They are always on time. Kapag sinabi nila na aalis tayo ng 6 a.m., aalis tayo ng 6 a.m. Walang big star na tatawagan, kung sino man yung hindi nandun para bumaba.
"And they work 12 hours. Tapos kami, ganun, so it's nice. It's also good kasi dito sa taping namin, babad din kami. So with them and with us being exposed to that kind of working ethics, I think it's good kasi natatapos namin yung lineup for the day nang hindi kami nagbababad na nakatunganga lang, na ang tagal naming nandun, which is good, walang wasted time."
Ang hindi lang masyadong nagustuhan ni Heart sa Prague, "Siguro may mga times na malamig na malamig. Yun lang, but everything else... You know, just to be in a different country, given the chance to work with different types of people, it's an honor already."
Pati sa pagkain ay all-praises din si Heart sa naturang lugar.
"Okay lang kasi binigyan naman kami ng kanin... Actually, hindi naman ako nagkakanin, pero gumawa sila ng effort na gumawa ng kanin para sa crew since alam nilang mga Pilipino. Tapos ma-cheese sila, e. Mahilig naman ako sa cheese, so okay naman. Ma-prutas sila, 'tsaka buffet. The whole day, naka-buffet. Meron pa silang panggawa ng espresso, meron din silang iinitin mo yung bread mo. Lahat nakalatag, so parang Hollywood ang feeling," kuwento niya.
