Pinili ng halos lahat ng female hopefuls ng StarStruck V si Sarah Lahbati nang tanungin kung sino sa palagay nila ang biggest threat sa kanila.
Hindi naman nakapagtataka dahil at 16, stunning ang beauty ni Sarah and she really stands out.
Ano ang pakiramdam niya na siya ang pinili ng karamihan ng StarStruck V girls na posibleng threat sa kanila?
"Nakakataba po ng puso," sagot ni Sarah. "Pero siyempre po, hindi ibig sabihin na wala na, relax na, upo na. It's more challenging and just keep in your mind to stay humble and don't forget na challenge ito, nakikipaglaban ako, and sa sarili ko rin, to be a better me."
Ang unang reason daw talaga ng pag-uwi niya sa Pilipinas ay dahil sa evangelical mission ng Christian church nila sa Geneva, Switzerland noong July.
"Umuwi po ako rito para magbakasyon. Yung church po namin na nasa Geneva, umuwi po kami rito for an evangelical concert. Yung church po namin, Come To Jesus Fellowship, tapos po ang evangelical concert po namin ay sa iba't ibang parte ng Philippines—like Marinduque, Pangasinan—para tumulong," kuwento ni Sarah.
Sa unang pagkakataon ay iniharap sa entertainment press ang Final 14 ng StarStruck V, kabilang na nga si Sarah, sa grand presscon ng reality-based artista search ng Kapuso network na ginanap kagabi, November 30, sa Studio 5 ng GMA Network Center.
Mga Filipino raw ang members ng church nila sa Geneva and some are half-Pinoy tulad niya, kaya naman ang Pilipinas ang isa sa napili nilang bansa para sa kanilang evangelical mission.
Sarah is half-Moroccan and half-Filipino. Ang daddy niya ang Moroccan at taga-Bicol naman ang kanyang ina. Sa Switzerland ipinanganak at lumaki si Sarah.
"Pabakasyon-bakasyon lang po ako dito sa Pilipinas," banggit ni Sarah. "Pero noong younger po ako, around eight years old po ako, nag-aral po ako dito. Natuto po ako noong mag-aral ako dito for two years."
Kapansin-pansin na kahit hindi dito sa bansa lumaki si Sarah, fluent pa rin siya sa pagsasalita ng Filipino.
Paano na ang pag-aaral niya ngayon?
"Kung ito talaga ang gusto ko, I have to give up some stuff like school. Pero hindi ibig sabihin na hindi na rin ako mag-aaral. Siyempre po, kapag may time rin, home study," sagot ng aspiring actress.
Malaking bagay rin daw ang pagiging aktibo niya sa church dahil dito naman siya na-train sa singing.
"Kapag prayer meeting namin, kumakanta po ako sa church, especially kapag na-assign po ako."
Tungkol sa StarStruck naman, dati na raw niya itong naririnig, pero ang mommy raw niya ang nag-advise sa kanyang mas maganda na i-pursue niya yun kapag mas mature na siya.
"Noong malaman ko po na may StarStruck V, nasabi ko na maybe this is my time. At sinabi nga rin po ng kuya ko, i-try ko ang StarStruck. Mag-decide na lang daw po ako kung gusto kong umuwi at bumalik ng Switzerland," sabi niya.
Feeling daw niya, ipinanganak pa lang siya ay gusto na niyang mag-artista.
Masaya rin si Sarah dahil kahit ang daddy niya ay supportive sa pangarap niya.
"Sobrang supportive po niya na basta happy ako, happy rin siya."
