"You know, kung anuman ang mangyari, mawala man ito [kasikatan], happy pa rin ako because may nagawa ako sa buhay ko. Sobra-sobrang blessings po. Sa akin, grabe na yung mga nangyari sa akin. Bagama't launching ni Piolo Pascual para sa kanyang bagong album under Star Records na pinamagatang Decades: The Greatest Songs of the 50's, 60's and 70's ang ipinunta ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press kahapon, Disyembre 9, sa 13th floor ng ELJ Bldg. sa ABS-CBN compound, hindi pa rin nakaiwas sa mga maiintrigang tanong ang hunky actor-singer. Hanggang ngayon ay pinipilit pa rin kasi ng mga press si Piolo na aminin ang totoong estado ng relasyon nila ng leading lady niya sa Lovers in Paris na si KC Concepcion, lalo na nga't dedicated sa aktres ang kantang "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" mula sa Decades album ni Piolo.
Sa past interviews kasi ni Piolo ay sinasabi niya na iniiwasan nilang umamin ni KC dahil baka sabihin lang ng mga tao na dahil may ginagawa silang project ay promo lang ang sweetness nila. Ngayong magtatapos na ang Lovers In Paris sa December 11, aamin na ba sila?
"Hindi pa tapos. After Friday, balikan mo ako. Hindi ko alam!" sabay tawa nang malakas ni Piolo.
So, after Friday, meron bang mai-expect na pag-amin mula sa kanila?
"A, hindi pa nga kami nakakapag-usap ni KC, e. Mag-usap muna kami, tapos sasabihin namin sa inyo," pag-iwas pa ng aktor.
Dati kasi sinasabi niya na ayaw pa niyang ituloy ang panliligaw kay KC because of Lovers in Paris. Ngayon ba ay itutuloy na niya ang panliligaw?
"Sa amin na lang yun ni KC. Basta if there's anything, if there's something, just like what I've said, we want to keep it to ourselves. Because masyado kaming parehong exposed sa camera. Ang bottom line naman, we just want to protect our friendship, our relationship, whatever you may call it," saad ni Piolo.
Hindi ba siya naiinis sa mga taong ayaw maniwala na special talaga sa kanya si KC?
"A talaga, may ganun ba?" reaksiyon niya. "Tahimik pa ako ng lagay na 'yan, a. Paano pa pag sinabi kong kami na, ano pang sasabihin ko? Saan pa ako lulugar? Wala naman akong magagawa, e, opinyon nila 'yan, e. Bahala sila sa buhay nila. Basta KC will always be somebody special."
OWN FAMILY WILL BE TOP PRIORITY. Nasa hustong edad na rin naman si Piolo para mag-asawa. Pero ayon sa aktor, who will turn 33 on January 12 next year, ayaw niya raw pilitin ang kanyang sarili. Naniniwala siyang darating din ang araw na 'yon.
Meron na siyang isang anak na lalaki, si Iñigo, pero hinihintay pa rin niya ang panahon na magkakaron siya ng sariling pamilya. Kung siya raw ang tatanungin, excited na siya pag naiisip niya ito.
If ever ba na mag-settle down na siya, yung career ba ay less priority na?
"Pag nag-settle down na po ako, definitely mas magiging priority ko yung pamilya ko."
Pero magsu-showbiz pa rin ba siya?
"If there is still work at kung meron pang interested, or pag may projects pang darating, yes, definitely. I would like to stay in the business as long as I can. Ito yung mahal ko, e. Mahal ko yung pag-arte, mahal ko yung pagkanta, mahal ko yung magpasaya ng tao. Pero pag dumating kasi yung point na mag-asawa ako at magkaroon ako ng family, yun ang magiging top priority ko," saad niya.
EXCITED TO ENJOY LIFE. Nasa prime si Piolo sa kanyang career ngayon. Hindi ba siya nagwo-worry na darating yung araw na mababawasan ang offers sa kanya?
"Actually, nae-excite nga po ako, e," sabi niya. "Nae-excite akong makapamasyal. Kasi sa eleven years ko sa industriya, hindi ko nabigyan ang sarili ko ng enough time to enjoy life. As it is, yes, I enjoy life, but because I love what I'm doing. Not naman na I'm expecting it, but I want to anticipate that so that you give chance to others. I mean, because ang isang bagay kapag inari mo at nawala sa iyo, masakit. E, sa akin naman po, ang lahat ng bagay panandalian lang, hiram lang. Kung anuman yung meron ako ngayon, I enjoy it and I'm grateful for it. It doesn't mean na aariin ko na para sa akin."
Napaghandaan na rin ba niya ang pagdating ng araw na mawala na ang maraming offers?
"Napaghandaan ko na rin naman. May insurance naman ako!" natatawang sabi ni Piolo. "Lahat naman [ng artista] dumadaan sa ganun. Hindi ka naman teenager forever, di ba? Tulad nga ng sabi ko, excited akong magbakasyon. Excited akong makapamasyal. Excited akong mag-start ng family. Excited ako to enjoy life.
