"In fact, ito nga ang nagpapatibay ng advocacy. Because kung hindi Hayden Kho 'yan at hindi Katrina Halili, alam ba ng publiko kung ano yung pornography? Alam ba nila na kulang tayo sa batas tungkol sa pornography? Alam ba nila ang ibig sabihin ng domestic violence?
"Katrina Halili is claiming economic violence. That's a distortion of the law. When the law, domestic violence RA 9262... Ang sabi nila, yung economic violence, ang ibig sabihin n'on, yung mag-asawa na ang husband does not give support to the wife and to the children. Yung failure to give support, 'yon ang economic violence. Hindi yung kini-claim ng lawyer ni Katrina... and I don't blame Katrina because she should have been guided by her lawyer. Her lawyer was saying that because she lost her job, because she lost her opportunities, that's economic violence.
"That's a wrong advice to a client. Economic violence under the Economic Violence Law is failure to give support to the woman, to the wife, to the mother, and to the children. It is not loss of economic opportunities. As a matter of fact, would she be able to [do a] show kung magiging kaso 'yan? But the fact is she has more films now. She has more projects now," tuluy-tuloy na pahayag ni Atty. Kapunan.
GRUDGE AGAINST GMA-7. May lumabas na report na ayaw magpa-interview ni Hayden sa GMA-7 dahil may tampo raw siya rito. Hindi raw kasi fair ang reporting na ginagawa ng Kapuso network tungkol sa panibagong isyung ito sa kanya. Nag-dialogue pa nga raw siya na: "I will give the ratings to ABS-CBN."
Kinumpirma naman ito ni Atty. Kapunan.
"Oo, GMA, hindi naman fair ang reporting. For instance, I think Katrina is GMA's talent. That's why our client sometimes hesitates to be interviewed because maski na anong sabihin niya, ine-edit. And it's taken out of context.
"I explained this to Jessica Soho. And she said, iba naman daw yung entertainment, iba naman yung news. But you are still media regardless who's your station, talents. You still have duty to the public to come up with the truth or at the very least, with a fair presentation of what you think is the truth. We're not saying naman you're telling falsehoods. We're not saying that," sabi niya.
Pero napag-alaman ng PEP na nagpa-interview si Hayden sa showbiz-oriented show na Tweetbiz ng Q Channel 11, na sister station ng GMA-7. Hindi raw kasi matanggihan ni Hayden ang kaibigan niyang si Tim Yap, na isa sa mga host ng naturang programa.
HAYDEN WILL NOT SUE. Sinabi rin ni Atty. Kapunan na wala silang balak magsampa ng demanda laban sa mga taong sa palagay nila ay nakasakit ng damdamin ni Hayden.
"We have always said to him [Hayden], 'Parang ano 'yan, when somebody throws mud at you, you don't rub it. You wait for it to dry and then you flick it off. Ganyan lang.' So if somebody throws mud at a Hayden Kho, we tell him as his lawyers, to let it dry. It does not diminish you as a person. Humility doesn't make you a lesser person. All of these has taught him the virtue of humility.
"He knows he is a proud person. Sino ba naman ang hindi magiging proud person? Everybody is paying attention to him because from a simple doctor, naging personality siya. Naging that's entertainment siya, and that is enough to make your head bigger
"And he's thinking this is penalty. Penalty for his fame and it has taught him the virtue of humility. It also taught him the virtue of belief in yourself. So slowly, instead of turning outwards, yung dati... When you get hurt kasi, the tendency is magliwaliw ka, you go to watch a movie, whatever... You go into drugs. You go to buy expensive things.
"He's a regular kid. He's 29 years old. He's like a very regular 29-year-old person," patuloy ni Atty. Kapunan. "In fact, sometimes in the privacy of the lawyers, he's a regular person. It is not his fault that he's blessed with a beautiful body and a beautiful face. And some people are lusting after him. It's not his fault.
"He has learned that this is temporary. And therefore, in the end, ang importante, diyan, yung sarili mo. Yung belief ng people that you trust, yung family niya. He's back to his family again and more than that, yung belief in the Lord."
LET JUSTICE SYSTEM WORK. Ipinapaubaya na rin daw ni Atty. Kapunan ang magiging kahihinatnan ng kaso sa korte.
