Carmina Villarroel's rumored transfer to ABS-CBN started a few months ago. A source told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that her friendship with SiS co-host Gelli de Belen was one of the reasons why it didn't materialize.
Fast forward to December 2009, Zoren Legaspi (in photo)—the dad of Carmina's kids—admitted that negotiations are underway and both offers seem lucrative. But there's no decision yet. "Napakahirap," he said.

Laking pasasalamat ni Zoren Legaspi kay Mother Lily Monteverde dahil dalawa ang regalo niya mula sa big boss ng Regal Films ngayong Pasko.
Una, ang partisipasyon niya sa Shake, Rattle & Roll XI, kung saan gaganap siya bilang asawa ng dating kasintahan na si Ruffa Gutierrez. Pangalawa, kasama rin siya sa Mano Po 6 bilang asawa ni Kris Aquino. Parehong official entry sa 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival ang dalawang pelikula.
"Matagal din na wala akong pelikula na ginawa kaya blessing sa akin this Christmas na kinuha ako ni Mother [Lily], at nakagawa ako ng movie sa kanya—hindi lang isa, dalawa pa," masayang bungad ni Zoren sa presscon ng Mano Po 6 na naganap kagabi, ika-15 ng Disyembre, sa Imperial Palace Suites.
Anu-ano pa nga ba ang mga ipinagdasal niya sa taong ito?
"Ano lang...nagpapasalamat lang ako sa buong taon na walang naaksidente sa amin, nakakakain kami three times a day, minsan four times pa nga, e. Kaya yun, medyo blessed kami for the past ano, e...Basta simula nung pumasok yung kambal, wala akong naging problema sa sarili ko, ganun din si Carmina [Villarroel, mom of his twins.] Kaya mapapansin ninyo na wala kaming kaintri-intriga...Happy lang kami to be together," nakangiting pahayag ng aktor.
CARMINA GOING BACK TO ABS-CBN? Kasabay ng pagpo-promote ni Zoren para sa dalawang entries niya sa napipintong MMFF, nabanggit ang balitang pagbabalik ni Carmina sa ABS-CBN.
"Ano kasi 'yan, e. May mga offer kasi both sides [networks]. Isa itong pagpapatunay na meron pa silang nakikita kay Carmina. That's maybe the reason kung bakit may offer left and right.
"Pero pinag-iisipan kasi 'yan, e. Hindi lang basta pera. Kung saan ka siyempre masaya, kung saan ka komportable, ayun...kung alin ang mas makakabuti," paliwanag ng 37-year-old actor.
Nang usisain namin kung napag-usapan na ba nila ito ni Mina (palayaw ni Carmina), aniya, "Ako rin naman ang nagde-decide, e."
Siya na ba ang bagong manager ni Carmina?
Ang sagot ni Zoren, "Hindi, si Tita Dolor [Guevarra] ang manager niya. Pero at the end of the day....Hindi muna sa akin, si Tita Dolor muna, well, final opinion...Ako yung pinaka-final opinion with regard to any matter, kahit commercial niya. Ako pa rin ang final say.... But marunong naman si Tita Dolor, normally, kung ano ang desisyon ni Tita Dolor nag-se-second the motion ako kasi may nakikita akong tama naman."
May balita rin na hanggang December 31 na lang daw ang morning show ni Carmina with Gelli de Belen and Janice de Belen, ang SiS.
"Well, it's ano...It's still a rumor," ang mabilis nitong sabi. Dugtong niya, "It's still a rumor, kasi ang SiS, marami nang na-knock out, e. They're there for seven years."
Napag-uusapan daw ang pagkawala nito sa ere, pero "it's a still a rumor kasi, hindi pa guaranteed na wala. Wala naman, e..."
Kung rumor lang iyon, paano ito nagsimula?
"Hindi ko alam," ang sagot ng daddy nina Maverick at Cassie. "Pero baka palitan lang yung oras. Puwede rin siyang mawala. So, until now, lahat nasa negotiation table pa rin."
Gaano katotoo ang balitang inalok daw si Carmina ng isang talent show kapalit ng SiS pero hindi niya tinanggap?
Medyo safe ang sagot ni Zoren: "Hindi pa kami tapos mag-usap ni Carmina, e. Yeah, nag-uusap kami tungkol diyan. Yun ang hirap talaga. They're [ABS-CBN and GMA-7] offering both good shows, good projects, good opportunity. Napakahirap talagang mag-desisyon. Normally ang talagang...kasi, mahirap magkamali, e. Hindi porke lumipat ka, it's the right move. It can be a bad move."
Ano na ang status ng negosasyon?
"Kasi nagbabago araw-araw. May mga pagbabago araw-araw. Pero kami, wala naman, e...Wala namang nagmamadali. Wala namang expiration date. Wala namang kontratang mag-e-expire....," sabi ni Zoren.
