Jackie Rice's career is jumping this 2010, and the projects just keep on coming for the StarStruck 3 Ultimate Female Survivor.
But in the wake of Jackie's newfound popularity lie past issues, the most recent of which was her breakup with actor Biboy Ramirez. Startalk checked on Biboy yesterday, January 16, to see how he was faring.
Biboy is now in a relationship with another StarStruck alumna, Jackie's batchmate Vaness del Moral. According to him, the day they met to shoot the first scene for Pangarap Kong Jackpot last August was the start of something special.
"Mula noon, hindi na kami naghiwalay, e," related Biboy. "Lagi na kami magkasama... Every day na kami nagkikita. Ang maganda kasi doon... e, first scene, kami ang ikakasal. Siya sobrang naiilang kasi nga kissing scene agad. So, tinanong ko kung okay lang sa kanya."
SAYING IT THROUGH POETRY. According to both, no courtship took place.
"Ang nangyari," said Biboy, "noong lumalabas-labas na kami, pinakitaan niya ako ng mga sulat niyang poems. 'Yon na, tinuruan niya ako magsulat. So doon kami nag-communicate sa poems."
Biboy wanted to clear up rumors that Vaness had anything do with his and Jackie's breakup.
"Almost a year na akong single bago naging kami," revealed Biboy.
"Alam na ni Jackie," Vaness said in the same interview segment. "Hindi ko sinabi kay Jackie pero nalaman naman niya."
JACKIE RICE SPEAKS. Jackie went live on Startalk that same day to give her say on the rumor that Vaness was the reason for her split with Biboy.
"Hindi po si Vaness," Jackie said, "and actually, siguro lang hindi kami para sa isa't isa ni Biboy. Matagal na kaming wala. Walang third party ang paghiwalay namin ni Biboy. Siguro age gap, kasi 19 ako at siya 26, 27, 28, hindi ko alam. Siyempre, hindi kami nagkaintindihan, ako isip-bata."
Does Jackie have anyone special right now?
"Wala akong special someone," laughed Jackie. "Siguro ang special someone ko, e ang work ko. Nakita naman na tuloy-tuloy ang trabaho ko at nakatatlong movies ako last year... mahal ko ang trabaho ko. Ang love, makakahintay iyan."
Jackie was rumored to have been with someone when she did her photoshoot for FHM in Boracay. She denied this and added that she was with a lot of people in Boracay, including her dad. "Lahat kami as family," she said.
Now that she has gone sexy in FHM, does this mean that she can go sexy in movies as well?
"Kung saan po ako matututo," Jackie said. "Diyan sa FHM, e mas lumakas ang self-confidence ko at hindi na ako nahihiya at kaya ko pala makipagsabayan."
