Nakausap ng PEP (Philipppine Entertainment Portal) si Lalen Calayan noong January 19 sa Starbucks sa ABS-CBN, at magandang balita ang inihatid ng general marketing manager ng Calayan Surgicentre tungkol kay Dr. Pie Calayan.
"One hundred and one percent na she has fully recovered," sabi ni Lalen tungkol sa asawa ni Dr. Manny Calayan, na nagkasakit noon ng adrenal fatigue syndrome, isang hormonal imbalance dulot ng pagod at dieting.
"Magaling na siya noong December pa lang, pero ngayon, talagang one hundred-and-one percent na siyang magaling," inulit pa ni Lalen na pamangkin ng duktora.
INTRIGUES. Medyo matagal ngang nawala sa public eye si Dra. Pie kaya naintriga ito na may matinding karamdaman at hindi na maganda ang itsura, bukod pa sa tsikang hiwalay na sila ng asawang si Dr. Manny.
"Kung hiwalay sila, why would my uncle be gone for a long time at sundan siya sa Amerika, di ba?" ang sagot ni Lalen, na tumatayong spokesperson ng mga Calayan habang sila ay nasa States.
Kahit pa noong naririto si Dra. Pie, hindi raw ito nagpapakita sa tao.
"No, not because ayaw lumabas, there's no reason para magtago or ayaw lumabas. Practically, paano siya lalabas kung she's undergoing therapy, kung she's undergoing treatment, di ba?" sagot ni Lalen.
PUBLIC APPEARANCE. Pero ngayon, wala na raw rason para pagdudahan pa kung ano ba talaga ang kundisyon ni Dra. Pie dahil humarap na ito sa kamera para sa taping ng Adobo Nation, isang show sa The Filipino Channel.
Ang Adobo Nation ay isang weekly magazine talk program na pinag-uusapan ang mga bagay-bagay na relevant sa mga Filipino-Americans na nakatira sa US.
May segment about beauty and wellness ang mga Calayan sa naturang show at kinukunan ito mismo sa clinic nila sa Beverly hills.
Bukod sa pagharap sa camera ay humaharap na rin daw si Dra. Pie sa mga pasyente doon, kaya marami na ang makapagsasabi na one hundred-and-one percent ay okay na nga si duktora.
