Paul Jake Castillo, tagged as the Negosyante Prince ng Cebu inside the Pinoy Big Brother Double Up house, answers intrigue that the only reason he came very close to winner Melai Cantiveros in terms of text votes was because of his family's wealth.

"Well, I don't know anything because I haven't talked to my family, pero sana hindi nila ginamit ang pera nila. I hope na yung votation came from the taong-bayan talaga. Before, yun din ang sinasabi ng mga friends and mga kilala ko dun sa Cebu. They said na hindi talaga ako mananalo sa PBB kasi I came from a well-off family. They didn't think I deserve it. That's why I'm not really expecting it," sabi niya.
Tapos biglang nag-Christmas, nag-New Year. We got to the point na sana Big 4, then naging Big 5 pala. I'm very happy and surprised ako sa mga nangyari."
"For me, si Melai ang star and everything. We, the housemates, know naman that she made the Big Brother's house happy and entertaining for us and she deserves it."
"That's what I keep saying inside the house, and now I'm gonna say it again na I can't please everone. I didn't mean it. I just had to say what I wanted to say.
"Regarding Cathy, if ever I got a chance to talk to her, I'll talk to her. Honestly, I don't remember saying the 'gold digger' part. If ever I did say that, I'm very sorry though wala talaga akong matandaan na nasabi ko yun. If ever I get the chance, I will clarify and clear things up."
"The first time na nakita ko ang girlfriend ko [sa Bahay Ni Kuya] was my birthday and I was really happy. That's also the first time na umiyak ako nang umiyak. Ako, I value our relationship so much talaga until now and forever.
"I don't know lot of artistas, I know lang sila Kim Chiu, Toni [Gonzaga]...kaunti lang, very small lang. And I really don't know a lot of them to say na sana sila ang makapareha ko," saad ni Paul Jake.
