Ikakasal na sa February 28 ang aktor na si Ryan Eigenmann sa girlfriend nitong si Cathy Bordalba, dating TV host at commercial model. Gaganapin ang wedding ceremony at reception sa Coconut Palace sa Manila. Si Ryan ay ang panganay na anak ng dating mag-asawa na sina Michael de Mesa at Gina Alajar.
Sa presscon ng Panday Kids last Tuesday, February 16, ay isiniwalat ni Ryan sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang kanyang nararamdaman sa nalalapit niyang kasal.
"Excited na medyo malapit nang matapos ang preparation. Ito na yung mga stress na. May mga last minutes na kailangang tapusin," sabi niya.
Inamin ni Ryan na four months on the family way na si Cathy kaya expectant father na rin siya. Pero nilinaw ng aktor na nasimulan na nila ang preparation para sa kasal nila nang mabuntis si Cathy.
"Actually, nag-propose po ako ng wedding, hindi pa siya buntis. Tapos, in the middle of planning and everything, dun siya nadali!" natatawang sabi ni Ryan.
Ilang kids ba ang plano nilang magkaroon?
"Hindi ko pa iniisip yun. For me, concentrate muna dito sa isa especially, hindi pa dumarating," sagot niya.
Five years na raw ang relationship nila ni Cathy before they decided to tie the knot.
"Kaya nga, e, kumbaga, sure na, this is it na," nakangiting sabi ni Ryan.
Nabanggit din ni Ryan sa PEP na dumating na sa Pilipinas ang bunsong kapatid niya na si AJ Eigenmann, na tatayong Best Man kasama ang isa pang kapatid nila na si Geoff. Ang daddy naman daw niya ay next week ang dating, kasunod ang mga lolo at lola niya.
"Everybody's coming. And sa generation namin, I think, first wedding. It would be a Christian wedding kaya yung ceremony and reception sa Coconut Palace na rin," sabi niya.
OVER AND DONE. Kumpara kay Geoff, tila hindi masyadong nagsasalita si Ryan tungkol sa naging isyu ng kanilang ina na si Gina Alajar sa sexy star na si Krista Ranillo, na na-link noon sa ama nina Ryan na si Michael de Mesa.
Pero ayon kay Ryan, "Wala, tapos na yun. Hindi na rin naman nagsasalita si Mommy. No comment na lang ako diyan. It's over and done. So, bakit pa ako magsasalita para lumaki na naman, di ba?"
But we told him na noong huling makausap ng PEP si Geoff ay inamin nito na naapektuhan silang magkakapatid during the time na naisyu ang daddy nila at si Krista noon. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)
"Oo naman," pag-amin din niya. "Tao lang din naman, di ba? Nakakaramdam ng kung ano-ano. Yun na yun. So, tapos na siya."
Kumusta naman ang parents niya sa pagpapakasal niya?
"Okey naman. Siyempre panganay akong anak, tapos ikakasal na rin. So, yun, tanggap na tanggap na. Parang natuwa na nga sila na ikakasal na nga ako. Na it's about time," sabi ni Ryan.
May advice ba sa kanya ang parents niya, na hiwalay na ngayon, para hindi sila magaya sa nangyari sa kanilang pagsasama?
"Ang sabi lang sa akin ng nanay ko, gago lang ako kapag pinawalan ko pa 'to!" natatawa niyang sabi.
Sa Panday Kids ay ginagampanan ni Ryan ang role ng isang kalahating kambing at kalahating tao.
