Malaki ang pasasalamat ni TJ Trinidad at hindi siya nababakante ng trabaho sa GMA-7. After ng Dear Friend: Almost A Love Story, kung saan nakasama niyang muli ang Stairway to Heaven co-star niyang si Rhian Ramos, ngayon naman ay kabilang siya sa cast ng kauna-unahang kantaserye sa primetime ng GMA-7, ang Diva, na pinagbibidahan ni Regine Velasquez.

"Nakakataba ng puso and I'm very grateful and thankful to GMA for all the work they have given me. Happy ako na hindi nila ako nakakalimutan at hindi nga ako nababakante ng trabaho. That's why I always make sure to give my all, to give my best para matumbasan yung pagtitiwala nila sa akin," pahayag ni TJ nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa grand press launch ng Diva last February 24 sa Studio 7 ng GMA Network.

In Diva, TJ plays the role of Martin, isang musician-composer na gusto ni Sampaguita, played by Regine. Mai-involve sila sa love triangle with Mark Anthony Fernandez.

"Something like that, pero dun din patungo yun," sabi i TJ. "Magkabanda kami ni Mark at saka ni Regine. Ako yung ambitious guy. I will do anything for the band to get the big break para sumikat, para kumita."

Gaano ka-challenging ang role niya rito?

"Challenging because the singing part is difficult, e. I mean, I do sing and I sing in a band before. Pero it's like a rock band. It's not like how Regine sings well, alam mo yun? Iba yung training nila. Ako kasi, pabanda-banda rito lang, e. So, it's difficult in that sense."

Masasabi niya ba na lumabas dito yung naitatago niyang talent sa singing?

"Ewan ko kung meron bang lumabas!" natatawang sabi ni TJ. "Ewan ko kung ma-appreciate ng tao. Pero kung ma-appreciate, salamat."

WORKING WITH REGINE. First time makatrabaho ni TJ si Regine. How is it working with the Songbird?

"It's good for a first time. She's easy to work with. It's really nice because magagaling yung cast ng Diva. No problem whatsoever," sagot niya.

Ano ang first impression niya kay Regine noon hindi pa sila nagkakasama sa trabaho?

"I really admire her singing voice. She's amazing. Same also with her acting ability. Of course, when you say Regine, ibang level 'yan. She's such a great singer and she's known even outside of the Philippines. My impression is she's really a big star."

Ano ang na-discover niya kay Regine nang magkatrabaho na sila?

"In spite of her popularity, I'm happy to see that she's very humble and easy to work with. Mabait siya. We only had like three taping days, so I'm really excited to discover more things about her."

Tinutulungan ba siya ni Regine when it comes to singing?
