CHALLENGES FOR PRESIDENTIABLES. Kumusta naman si Paolo matapos ang paglipat niya mula sa GMA-7?

"The transition was pretty smooth. I've been away from television... regular TV na may program talaga ako for about four months and excited ako kasi next week nga, magsisimula na yung bagong program ko. The title is USI (Under Special Investigation).

"So, ako yung parang usisero. Ang first topic namin will be the presidentiables. So, two presidentiables a week. This will be different kasi may mga challenges na ia-undergo yung mga presidentiables.

"Kasi most of the interviews that you see, mga debates or yung mga questions sobrang serious. Not to say na hindi seryoso yung interviews namin, pero dito you'll see pati yung mga pagkatao nila, kung paano makihalubilo sa mga tao, kung ano ang reaksyon nila pag may mga challenges na gagawin. It's still along the reality line pero marami tayong mapupulot sa kanila. A lot of details kung paano tayo makakapili ng pangulo," kuwento ni Paolo.

ON-CAM WORK. Na-miss niya ba ang paglabas sa TV?

"Ako sobrang na-miss ko ang TV. I've been guesting-guesting. Nagpipigil ako but siyempre, once you're there mahirap mawala, e. Kaya nga when I started doing USI, nag-enjoy ako, e."

Sino na ang mga presidentiable na-interview niya for the show?

"So far na-interview ko na sina Jamby Madrigal, Eddie Villanueva, Dick Gordon, JC delos Reyes. I'll be doing Gibo [Teodoro] next, and then si Nicky Perlas. Sina Manny Villar and Noynoy [Aquino] naka-line up na rin."

Since meron siyang ganitong show, ibig sabihin ba ay hindi siya puwedeng mag-endorse ng kandidato for the May 2010 elections?

"Definitely not, no, no, no. Ang news and public affairs is very strict about endorsing candidates. But ang main focus talaga namin is to be objective as much as possible para ibigay natin sa mga tao na heto yung mga presidentiables natin. Ito yung mga nakalap naming information. On endorsing a presidential candidate, I've never done it and I can't do it now. Definitely not now."

Nilinaw naman ni Paolo na hindi political show ang USI. Nagkataon lang daw na election period ngayon kaya magandang unang itampok sa show ang mga presidentiables. After the election daw ay magtatampok na sila ng iba't ibang celebrities.

TWO MORE SHOWS FOR PAOLO. Bukod sa USI na mapapanood na simula sa March 14, may dalawang upcoming shows pa raw si Paolo sa TV5.

"The second show is an entertainment show which will start in April. And the third one will start when I think about it. Kasi kino-conceptualize pa namin, e. But it's under entertainment. Pero puwede pa rin akong mag-game show, puwede pa rin akong mag-talk show.  Gusto ko to have a show with Mo Twister and kasama rin si Ryan [Agoncillo], ang saya nun.
