Para kay Nancy Castiglione, ang pagbabalik niya sa showbiz ay "reunion of sorts" na maituturing dahil na rin sa kanyang pagbabalik sa ilang naging trabaho niya noon bago pa siya pansamantalang namahinga sa industriya nang magbuntis at manganak siya sa kanyang kambal.

Na-interview ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Nancy during the presscon ng PLDT myDSL para sa kanilang Beyond Broadband campaign tampok ang multimedia package na unlimited broadband, landline at Watchpad. Kasabay nito ay ang launching ng kanilang Search for the Watchpad Crew. Ginanap ang presscon sa Annabel's restaurant last March 6 at nakasama ni Nancy ang iba pang endorsers ng myDSL na sina Rhian Ramos, drift champ Alex Perez, at fresh talent Ton Vergel de Dios.

"Masaya ako kasi parang I'm having really good and happy reunions the past few weeks, like yung una sa StarStruck. I've been reunited with Dingdong [Dantes], and siyempre sa show. Ngayon, reunited ako with PLDT myDSL. Kasi actually before I got pregnant, I've been working with DSL going out on circuits and doing hosting too for a long time. So, now I'm back with them again and joining their crew," pahayag ni  Nancy.

READY TO WORK AGAIN. Isa nga si Nancy sa mga naging special co-hosts sa ginanap kamakailan na StarStruck V Final Judgment  along with Dingdong Dantes, Raymond Gutierrez, Carla Abellana,l and Dennis Trillo.

Kumusta ang reunion niya sa StarStruck?

"It was very pleasant," sagot ni Nancy. "I got to see Direk Rommel [Gacho], who wasn't the director yet sa first. But he was already part of it as a writer. It was nice to see him. And of course, the entire staff pati yung mga PAs [production assistants] pareho. Siyempre may konting changes sa mga tao.

"It felt really nice. It felt like I haven't been away from the show and everyone was so welcoming, even Carla and Dennis and, of course, Dingdong and Raymond. They are very pleasant to be with."

Ano na ang kanyang plano sa career niya ngayon?

"The plan now is just basically take things as it comes. I've been very fortunate. I've been doing a bunch of hosting jobs actually, which is really my forte. And that's what I want to be doing right now. You know whatever offer comes, I'm keeping an open mind. I'm always very happy and blessed when something new comes up. But like I said before, my first role is my family. With that I'm really, really happy. All the extras like yung mga shows, yung mga work, are like bonus na lang."

Maaalalang nakasama sa cast ng toprating show ng GMA-7 noon na Encantadia si Nancy. Ginampanan niya ang role ng isang fairy o pixie na si Muyak. Ngayong magbabalik ang Encantadia sa telebisyon, open ba siya na gumawa ulit ng isang telefantasya?

"Yes, of course," sagot niya. "I'm open to doing that again. I think that would really be fun and exciting for my kids. I wanna ask nga sana GMA so I can get old copies of Encantadia to show my kids. Kasi alam ko dati when it was airing, yung mga bata sobrang natutuwa sila kay Muyak. Siyempre I want to show my kids once they are a little older, di ba? Yes, open ako sa mga drama, comedy or hosting a show."

NO MORE SEXY PICTORIALS. Sa mga nangyayari na reunion of sorts sa kanya sa showbiz, isang bagay raw ang hindi niya babalikan, ang pagpapaseksi, kahit na nga maraming nagsasabi na hot mama daw siya. Kasama raw sa hindi na niya gagawin ang sexy pictorial for a men's magazine.

"No, no, no," madiing tanggi ni Nancy. "Yun lang yun and I'm a mother of two boys. Siguro kahit hindi sila lalake, kahit babae, being a mother now, that's something I wouldn't want them to grow up with. I mean, it's not naman na malaswa yung mga magazines like those that I have done in the past. Hindi naman sa malaswa, but now that I'm a mother, hindi na. Parang hindi na bagay sa akin. I don't feel super sexy. Though I feel beautiful, I feel confident, but pagdating sa ganyan, I think I will not feel comfortable bilang isang nanay."

Dahil isa na nga siyang ina, paano niya ide-describe ang motherhood?

"Iba talaga ang motherhood. Parang nawala yung insecurities sa buhay ko, you know about anything. I'm confident with who I am now and what I love to do and I'm a lot stronger. Siyempre iba na dahil may deeper emotions na of protectiveness because of being a mother," sabi ni Nancy.
