Bago nagsimula kahapon, March 9, ang taping ng Talentadong Pinoy sa SM Skydome, pumayag si Ruffa Gutierrez na magpainterbyu sa mga reporter ng news at showbiz-oriented talk shows tungkol sa isyu na kinasasangkutan nila ni Kris Aquino. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)
Diumano, ang pagpapainterbyu ni Ruffa ang una at huling pagkakataon na magsasalita siya.
Kaninang madaling-araw, March 10, natanggap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa pamamagitan ng e-mail ang official statement ni Ruffa tungkol pa rin sa insidente na nangyari sa studio ng The Buzz noong Linggo, March 7.
Sa statement ni Ruffa ay ipinaliwanag niya kung bakit naging emotional siya noong araw na yun. Nilinaw niya na hindi ang sinabi ni Kris na "ibang level ang saya dito" ang dahilan ng kanyang pag-iyak kundi ang naipon nang "condescending remarks" ni Kris sa kanya "through the years."
Inulit din ni Ruffa sa kanyang statement na tinatanggap niya ang apology ni Kris.
Ipinagtanggol din ni Ruffa ang kanyang ina na si Annabelle Rama sa pagbanggit nito sa pangalan ng kapatid ni Kris na si Sen. Noynoy Aquino. Matatandaang sinabi ni Annabelle sa interview niya sa Showbiz Central na huwag iboto si Noynoy bilang presidente dahil hindi pa man daw ito nananalo ay "mayabang" na ang kapatid nitong si Kris. Sa huli ay humingi rin ng paumanhin si Ruffa sa pamilya Aquino kung nasaktan man daw ang damdamin nila at kay Noynoy dahil nasama umano ito sa "babaeng usapin."
Ito ang official statement ni Ruffa:
"I am reluctant to make a statement regarding the incident last Sunday to avoid being accused of 'gumigimik' but since I feel the need to defend myself, lest I be judged unfairly, and ayoko na pong palakihin ito so I will say my piece.
"First of all I hold Tito Boy and Kris in such high regard as professional mentors and personal friends.
"Secondly, I wasn't reacting to just the video clip shown wherein Kris remarked 'Ruffa, aminin mo, ibang level ang saya dito.' Hindi naman po ako mababaw at pikon na tao.
"I always conduct myself as a professional to let a supposedly small matter such as this bother me.
"That being said, the reason why I reacted that way, seemingly OA or not, is because aside from being understandably emotional that Sunday (it was my last 2 episodes as co-host of The Buzz), the series of condescending remarks noticed by viewers through the years which I've constantly brushed off in the spirit of 'pakikisama' also took a toll on me.
"I invite you to view replays of past episodes online and you'll understand exactly where I'm coming from. Off-camera, sometimes Kris acknowledges my presence and other times (like that Sunday, March 7) she would not.
"To clarify, I did not 'walk out.' After what I thought was a commercial break, I felt tears were starting to well up. I went back to my dressing room to compose myself. But the tears wouldn't stop.

ay naku think about it sis...if you believe ruffa's claim na every sunday sya nabubully, isang search mo lang sa YT you will find evidence na di ba?
i was able to paste links here yesterday to prove that their repartees in Thebuzz were done in jest and they all looked like they were having fun plus other vids that showed how ruffa just couldn't keep up with kris's spontaneity, wit, depth and humour!...
so why can't they not direct us to the vids where we all can clearly see that ruffa was indeed a victim of bullying!

Eh di mag-shopping kayo ni Ruffa, maubos pera mo dahil bilmoko iyan si Ruffa. Ako si Kris gusto ko kasama ko dahil malamang ilibre pa nya ako dahil she's so generous.
the Coco-Kris issue - i'm not asking where an article can be found. i'm after the veracity of what was reported, if it is a FACT or RUMOR. if it is just a RUMOR, i can't see it's relevance to this issue.
pambabara issue - I watch the Buzz every Sunday,and I know what I saw and so does alot of people.
i don't think ruffa is underdog here, are you updated ba sa mga nagaganap, narinig mo ba un mga pinagsasabi ni AnaVIL at badingers? 3 is to 1 po ang laban dito, so sino ang underdog?
Kailan naging underdog si Ruffa sa issue na ito? Eh sa marami talagang nagalit sa inasal nilang mag-ina. Eh kung hindi ba naman sya maarte at parang bata eh bakit kailangan nya mag-sumbong agad sa ina. Kaya ayun nag-pa interview kaagad iyong Nanay niyang bungagera. She's so immature pati iyong pag-bati ni Kris sa Laoag na 70 percent eh nanonood ng The Buzz isipin ba naman na pinaparinggan sya. She's so insecure pala with Kris. Sa Tweeter pa lang ni Kris nabanggit na nya ang mga taga Laoag kaya binati nya rin on TV. Pwede ba huwag isisi ang kabobohan at hindi nya magaling na host kay Kris Aquino? Mag-aral sya kaysa magngakngak sya. Plastikada.

No it is not a fact. merely an OBSERVATION. now you know what it feels like to be presented w/ half-truths/half-assumptions. yesterday you kept on insisting on the relevance of the Coco-Kris issue to this controversy. we were asking how that incident cud be relevant to this issue when in fact, the Coco-Kris thingie is baseless/unfounded rumor. unfortunately you never addressed the question.
and if you insist about our PAGBUBULAG BULAGAN about Kris' pambabara, then convince us by posting a link.
sa totoo lang i kinda like na this ruffa..i felt sad when i first found out na she will be transferring to another network...pero noong nag walk out sya at 3 mins later may phone patch na si anavil sa kabila at ang crew ng gma ay everywhere na....galing ng plans pero palpak naman...super turned off ako
