Masayang-masaya ang StarStruck V Ultimate Male Survivor na si Steven Silva dahil officially ay Kapuso na siya matapos niyang pumirma ng five-year exclusive contract sa GMA Artist Center. Kasama niyang pumirma ng kontrata ang iba pang Final 14 survivors.
Naganap ang contract signing at presscon kahapon, March 11, sa GMA Exutive Lounge, 17th Floor, GMA Network Center. Present sa contract signing sina Atty. Felipe Gozon (Chairman, President and CEO), Mr. Jimmy Duavit (Executive Vice President and COO), at Ms. Ida Henares (VP for GMA Talent Development and Management Department).
Para kay Steven, katuparan na ito ng mga pangarap nilang lahat na StarStruck V Final 14.
"Talagang masaya ako. Kasi parang we're building up and building up our dreams and now everything is starting to become a reality. Parang it's the fruit of our labor of four or five months sa StarStruck. Ngayon, meron nang opportunity to work sa GMA. I'm really excited na to work," bulalas ni Steven nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) pagkatapos ng presscon.
Sino ang gusto niyang makatrabaho sa mga Kapuso artists?
"Gusto ko pong makatrabaho si Rhian Ramos," sagot niya.
Saang GMA-7 show niya gustong makasama?
"I would like to join Encantadia. And siguro sa mga Koreanovela adaptation na rin kasi palagi nilang sinasabi sa akin na bagay raw sa akin yung mga Koreanovela. And also I love to watch Koreanovelas. So, I think it would be nice to be included in a Koreanovela adaptation, maybe sa Endless Love [upcoming drama series of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera]."
IMMEDIATE PROJECTS. During the presscon ay naging isyu kung kailan mabibigyan ng sarili nilang projects ang mga bagong discoveries na ito ng GMA-7 matapos itong tanungin ng ilang members ng entertainment press. Hangad sana ng press people na mabigyan na agad ng projects ang mga kabataang ito nang hindi sila matulad sa ibang batch ng StarStruck na tila nabantilawan ang pagsikat. Ano ang reaksiyon ni Steven sa sinabing ito press in the presence of GMA executives na dapat ay mabigyan na agad sila ng projects?
"With what they said earlier, they are trying to work with us, they are trying to help us. And here, they want to work together with GMA. The talent goes beyond being a talent by doing shows and be seen sa TV. And I was really happy to hear that," sabi ni Steven.
PARTY PILIPINAS. Right now, ang show pa lamang na siguradong kabibilangan ni Steven at ng Top 5 ay ang bagong show na papalit sa SOP, ang Party Pilipinas na magsisimula on March 28. Ano ang mapapanood sa kanya ng mga fans niya rito?
"Siyempre, party, so dapat masaya," sagot niya. "I wanna sing, I wanna dance. Gusto ko talaga makasama yung mga idols ko, sina Jay-R, Kris Lawrence... Kasi yung talent ko talaga is singing, so I really wanna join them, parang collaboration with them on Party Pilipinas."
Excited na ba siya?
"Opo, kasi I always watch SOP and I said to myself, 'Sana makasama ako sila. Kasi they're my idols.' If I can join them now sa Party Pilipinas, it will be a dream come true."
READY FOR INTRIGUES. Kasabay ng pagpasok niya sa showbiz ang pagsulpot ng mga intriga. Handa na ba siyang harapin ang mga ipupukol sa kanyang kontrobersiya?
"I'm ready. I just have to be true to myself, true to the fans and the people. Whatever intrigue na dumating, I will face it and deal with it," sagot ng 23 year-old newbie.
Ano naman ang mensahe niya sa kanyang mga detractors na nagsasabing kahit siya ang nanalo ay mas sisikat pa rin ang ibang ka-batch niya sa StarStruck V?
"Para sa akin po, yung iniisip, I can only control what I do," sagot ni Steven. "If they become more popular and get more projects, it's good for them. I'll be happy for them. Kasi alam ko lahat ng survivors sa StarStruck they all have talents, they are all deserving. And they have the chance to be more popular, I'll be happy for them."
