Pagkatapos ng walkout ni Ruffa Gutierrez sa The Buzz last week dahil sa naipon na sama ng loob kay Kris Aquino, nagpahayag si Ruffa na hindi pa man sila pormal na nagkakausap ng co-host ay wala na raw siyang sama ng loob dito dahil sa public apology na ginawa ni Kris. Nakatakda nang umalis sa showbiz talk show ng ABS-CBN si Ruffa matapos pumirma ng three-year non-exclusive contract sa ABC5. Nang tanungin ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kung sino sa tingin niya ang puwedeng pumalit sa kanya sa The Buzz, ang sabi niya'y ang kaibigan niyang si Gretchen Barretto.
"Well, she's very glamorous, she's intelligent, I think she can carry the show very well with Tito Boy who she's very close to. With Kris, I think kaya niyang dalhin yung show at si Kris, I think pareho silang smart."
LAST SHOW OR NO-SHOW? Last episode na ni Ruffa sa The Buzz tomorrow at inaabangan ng lahat kung sisiputin niya ito o hindi.
"I don't know yet kasi baka out of town ako this Sunday with the kids," ang sabi ng TV host-actress nang makausap ng PEP sa unveiling ng summer collection ng Avon noong March 11.
"But I still might be here so marami pang puwedeng mangyari between now and Sunday. All I want lang talaga is a graceful exit. Of course, nagpaalam na 'ko sa ABS-CBN and naintindihan naman ako ng mga big bosses."
Ayon kay Ruffa, bukas talaga siya sa pakikipag-ayos kay Kris lalo't matagal na rin silang magkaibigan.
"Of course naman, wala namang problema sa akin. Di naman malalim ang dahilan ng nangyari sa amin ni Kris. Obviously, we're gonna see each other again, we're gonna bump into each other again, and I'm sure things will be just like the same kasi alam ko naman, si Kris also never holds grudges.
"Kris, wherever you are, you know I'm not mad at you. Minsan nahe-hurt lang ako, minsan nagiging emotional lang ako and I'm sure you understand me kasi matagal na rin ang pinagsamahan natin. I don't want there to be like Team Ruffa and Team Kris."
BIG DEAL. Kahit si Ruffa ay nagulat na lumaki ang issue at nahaluan pa ng pulitika.
"Na-shock nga ako na kahit sa Singapore [Strait] Times nasulat kami, kahit pa sa Abu Dhabi Times, parang ganun. Di ko naman sinasadya yun, di ba?... Pati sa Malacañang, sa hair salon, sa mga coffee shops, magiging topic siya. Why nga ba? I don't have any idea."
Sa kabila ng mga maaanghang na salitang binitiwan ng ina niyang si Annabelle Rama laban kay Kris, suportado naman daw nito ang desisyon niyang makipag-ayos na sa co-host.
"I told her about my statement. I wrote a long statement and I apologized to Sen. Noynoy also. Sabi ng mom ko, 'Mabuti naman 'yan, mabuti naman 'yan.' Alam ninyo naman ang mommy ko, kalma naman 'yan. 'Pag inaatake lang naman kami saka siya nagre-react. Like I've said, di naman niya inaatake yung character ni Sen. Noynoy, she was just expressing her feeling for that moment."
REUNION WITH YILMAZ. Kumpirmado ang pagdating sa bansa ng dating asawang si Yilmaz Bektas, na timing naman sa araw na kinasal sila noon, March 25, 2003.
"Di ko naalala. Ah, kaya pala pinapadala niya sa akin yung wedding DVD namin, siguro para maalala niya. Kahit naman may mga moments na malulungkot, we have good times together and I wanna cherish those moments dahil magna-nine months kaming di nag-usap ni Yilmaz, then suddenly out of the blue tumawag siya and nag-usap kami. I'd like to welcome that and sana maging peaceful na ang samahan namin.
"Well, pag dumating siya, we'll probably spend time in the beach kasi summer. Na-miss talaga niya yung dalawang bata, so I guess I would give him the time to spend time with them. Gusto lang niyang magbasa ng mga storybooks sa mga bata under a coconut tree. I will give it to him kasi kahit papaano, the kids also miss their dad and I wanna be able to show them na kahit may problema sa amin ng daddy nila, we still love and respect each other, and of course we're still gonna be parents to them. Ayoko namang lumaki sila na they have ill feelings towards their dad."
Sinabi noon ni Ruffa na wala siyang tinatanggap na financial support kay Yilmaz, pero "kung gusto niya why not? Kung ayaw niya kaya ko naman."
Ang nakapagpapasaya kay Ruffa ay, "he already agreed to give me the sole custody of the kids coz sabi niya mommy talaga ang dapat mag-asikaso sa mga bata."
Para kay Ruffa, ang pagpapatawad at hindi pagtatanim ng sama ng loob ang nagbibigay ng mga blessings at magagandang opportunities sa kanya.
"When people do me wrong, I always forgive as long as they know kung ano ang ginawa nila, nagkamali sila, alam nilang nasaktan nila ako. As long as they [don't] do it again and again, then I'll forgive them because if you're gonna be bitter about people, magre-reflect sa iyo 'yan, magkaka-wrinkles ka lang. It's better to be positive and happy always. Ang blessings naman, babalik at babalik 'yan. May na-close na namang isang deal ang mommy ko so I guess when you offer peace and forgiveness, more blessings will come. Marami akong na-encounter sa past na maraming sinasabi about my family. In the end sila din naman ang nagri-reach out."
