TO BESSIE31: Kris should stand on her own merits and not use her parent's name. Afterall, an individual is defined by his/her own accomplishments in life and not by her parents. So, let us talk about Kris' education, intelligence and breeding. I do not know how educated Kris and Ruffa are so I cannot comment on that. As far as intelligence,I do not see any evidence that Kris is smarter than Ruffa or vice versa. Remember that both of them are gossip show hosts. I am not really expecting good amount of intelligence from both of them. Now, breeding. Technically, Kris SHOULD have better breeding than Ruffa because both Ninoy and Cory came from prominent and well-bred families. I was not expecting anything from Ruffa because both her parents came from ordinary families and who want to be Annabelle's child? Not me. . But if you analyze it, Ruffa shows better breeding than Kris on all counts. So, good breeding of parents does not necessarily transfer to their kids.

Let us give credit where the credit is TRULY due. Ninoy Aquino tried to confront the Marcoses to lift Martial Law but lost his life while fighting for democracy. Unfortunately, his martyrdom was not enough to push the Marcoses from power. When Cory lost the election under suspicious circumstances, it was the bravery of the Filipinos who pushed the Marcoses out of power. I saw on TV ordinary Pinoys, rich Pinoys, nuns, priests, actors, actresses, etc holding hands and staging sit down rallies along EDSA. I was told by rich relatives who live in Greenhills that they asked their domestic helpers to go out with them and serve food to the Pinoys on EDSA. The true heroes were the Filipino people that is why they called it PEOPLE POWER. No gun shots and nobody died. It was the first in the world. I just want to acknowledge that even though both Ninoy and Cory were the catalysts of the struggle for democracy, I am giving the credit to the Filipinos who took part in the PEOPLE POWER OF 1986. I salute you.

TOTOYSIPA: For the record, I do not watch The Buzz because of Kris Aquino. I have been watching it since the Cristy Fermin days. Even though I live in OC, I am very concerned about what happened to the Phils because it is my Motherland.
