Saida Diola can be seen daily on GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga! dancing with the rest of the EB Babes. The young dancer is now being involved by the press on the supposed breakup of actor-model Derek Ramsey and actress Angelica Panganiban.

It is alleged that Saida had something to do with the breakup and that she and Derek supposedly have something going on, romantically speaking.

In an interview with Showbiz Central yesterday, March 14, Saida explained her side on the whole issue and denied that she is dating Derek.

"Nagulat ako na parang, 'Hoy, may lumabas sa diyaryo na dine-date ka daw at nakita kayo sa labas,'" related the dancer when someone informed her about the news.

When asked if she personally knows Derek, she admitted, "Well, nagkakilala kami sa basketball. Kasi nagkataon na na-invite ako kasi mayroon akong friend na maglalaro, tapos maglalaro din pala si Derek. Naisip ko na puwede siyang maging kaibigan kasi hindi siya showbiz, e. Mabait siya. Nagpalitan kami ng number."

Saida stressed that the exchange of phone numbers had nothing else attached to it, and she explained that they are only friends and nothing but friends.

"Ako naman kung friendship lang intention, e, why not?" she said. "Walang malisya. Kasi kung popormahan, e, wala naman siyang ganoon move."

When informed about the diamond ring Derek supposedly gave her, Saida just laughed and said, "Wala akong ring. Tattoo lang, a star! [shows tattoo on her finger] Diamond ring? Wala naman bagong kakilala lang na bibigyan na ng diamond ring."

The dancer, however, was dismayed when she learned that her name was attached to the relationship between Derek and Angelica.

"Sana huwag naman mangdamay sa nangyayari sa atin," she said. "Lahat naman nadadaan sa maayos na pag-uusap, e. Wala akong ginagawang masama. Gusto ko lang iparating sa iba na sana huwag judgmental at sana malawak ang pag-iisip natin, at hindi 'yong porke magkasama, e may something na. Sana pantay-pantay lang tayo sa pagtrato sa tao."

Saida also wants to inform the public: "Wala. Walang relasyon."
