Yesterday, March 14, was supposed to be Ruffa Gutierrez's last day as co-host of The Buzz. But after what happened between her and Kris Aquino the previous week, she just had a taped interview with Boy Abunda to say goodbye.

Matapos ang matinding kontrobersiya sa pagitan nina Ruffa Gutierrez at Kris Aquino last week, na naging laman ng mga balita, hindi na nagawa pang magpaalam nang live ni Ruffa sa huling episode niya bilang co-host ng The Buzz. Ito ay bago siya tuluyang lumipat sa TV5 kung saan gagawin niya ang isa ring showbiz talk show kasama sina Cristy Fermin at Mo Twister.
Tanging taped interview na lang ni Boy Abunda kay Ruffa ang ipinalabas sa The Buzz kahapon, March 14, na nagsilbing farewell ng TV host-actress sa programa.
Narito ang kabuuan ng pag-uusap nina Boy at Ruffa.
Boy: Hindi ko alam kung paano tayo mag-uumpisa, pero alam ko lamang mula sa aking puso ay maraming salamat.
Ruffa: Tito Boy, thank you din. Actually, thank you also because I know that the reporters [were] also calling you last week and you didn't say anything. Alam ko naman you love Kris more because you're closer but you didn't say [anything] bad about me. So, thank you.
Boy: No, but it has nothing to do with loving another person more. Sabi ko nga sa SNN, it's rising above the situation. It's being able to overcome whatever struggles. Kasi yung nangyari, it happens to the best of friends. It happens to families.
LOOKING BACK. Dahil nag-sorry na sa isa't isa, mas pinili na nga ni Boy na huwag nang pag-usapan ang nangyaring kontrobersiya kina Ruffa at Kris. Bagkus ay nagbalik-tanaw siya sa pagbabalik ni Ruffa sa Pilipinas after nitong manirahan sa Turkey nang ikasal sila ng ex-husbnd niyang si Yilmaz Bektas.
Boy: Balik-tanaw lang tayo, Ruffi. Noong panahon na you were in Turkey, then you were thinking of coming back. How was the feeling?
Ruffa: Actually, Tito Boy, when I was in Turkey and I was thinking of coming back, hindi ko naisip na I would stay here for long. Kasi everytime that I would come back, it's more of guest-guest lang and then go back. But, you know, I remember the last day na nag-away kami ni Yilmaz, I knew that I wasn't coming back to Turkey. But I never thought I would have a career as beautiful as the career that I have now.
Boy: The answer is kasi, you are Ruffa Gutierrez and your whole family is in the business. Pero yung hindi mo alam kung ano ang magaganap sa iyong buhay. I mean, I remember pa we [had] an interview with Yilmaz sa Le Souffle.
Ruffa: Yes, I love that interview. It was one of my most memorable interviews.
Boy: It was my first time to do an interview, I mean, up close with Yilmaz. During that time, sabi mo nga with all humility, you didn't expect that your career will blossom the way it did.
Ruffa: No, not at all.
SHOWBIZ COMEBACK. Napag-usapan din nila ang tungkol sa pagbabalik sa showbiz ni Ruffa.
Boy: Ano yung iniisip mo na magaganap during that time?
Ruffa: Wala. Kumbaga, I came to the Philippines, you know, thinking that it's a new beginning for me.
Boy: At saka iba na yung faces, iba na yung places.
Ruffa: Oo, wala na nga rin akong kilala, e, not even in the beginning like when I first started on The Buzz. Talagang I have to read the newspapers kasi ang dami nang mga bagong mukha. Ang kilala ko lang yung mga sikat noon. I really didn't know what direction I was gonna take or what's in store for me. Basta sa akin lang, bukas lang ako sa lahat ng puwedeng maganap.
Boy: At marami ang naganap, hindi ba?
Ruffa: Tama. I did Kokey, Betty La Fea, Ruffa & Ai, The Buzz...
