"Regarding that verbally abused issue, no, I don't verbally abuse Angelica," diin ni Derek. "If I did that, ang nanay ko ang papatay sa akin! Mom always told me, 'Kahit hindi mo gusto especially ang isang babae, hindi mo dapat gawin yun.

"They got the files. Ako yung tao na gusto ko may tamang place, tamang oras para pag-usapan ang mga bagay. Kasi kapag mainit pa ang anger mo, you might say things that you don't want to say. That's what I avoid. That's why I always take my time, ako yung tahimik lang. Actually, 'yan din ang nagiging problema sa akin ni Angel kasi tahimik lang ako na tao," paliwanag niya.

Marami ang nagtatanong na hindi kaya si Angel ang may tendency na mag-verbal abuse kay Derek, lalo't kilalang honest at prangka ang aktres?

"Same thing with Angel. She never raised her voice at me, she never yells or scream, umiiyak lang. We're helping each other out, we're learning new things... All those rumors that I don't know kung bakit lumalabas, there's no truth on that," saad niya.

SAIDA OF EB BABES. Nang pumutok ang isyu tungkol sa breakup diumano nina Derek at Angelica ay biglang nadawit ang pangalan ng EB Babes member na si Saida Diola. Ayon sa report, si Saida raw ang third party sa hiwalayan ng Kapamilya stars.

Agad naman itong itinanggi nina Derek at Saida sa magkahiwalay na panayam. Sinabi rin ng aktor at ng dancer na magkaibigan lang sila. Ayon pa kay Saida, kung makakasakit lang siya ng kalooban ng iba at magiging dahilan ng pag-aaway nina Derek at Angelica ay willing siyang i-give up ang friendship nila ng aktor.

Ano ang masasabi ni Derek dito?

"That's very nice of her," sambit niya. "We're friends, pero hindi ko sasabihin na matalik na kaming magkaibigan kasi we just met. But from what I saw from Saida, she's really nice, she's realy cool to talk to, and it's just unfortunate na napunta pa sa ganitong klase ng sitwasyon. Kaya I apologized to her, even to Angel.

"Ako kasi, intrigues will not gonna affect how I act with someone. I'm not gonna change my attitude. I'm still gonna be the same guy, I will not change myself. Angel knew I have a lot of female friends. I grew up with three sisters. There are certain things that I trusted women more than a guy. She [Angelica] saw that on me and she accepted it. When she decided, 'Okay, if I will take this relationship to another level, I have to accept this.' There are also certain things that I accepted on her na talagang tinanggap ko if I want to take this to another level."

Aminado si Derek na tulad ng ibang normal na relasyon, marami rin silang pinagdadaanang problema ni Angelica.

"There's no perfect relationship," sabi niya. "We're two different individuals and we're not going along with everything. Our beliefs are different, our values are different, especially we're from two different types of cultural background. Every relationship has problems and we have our share of problems. We're not a perfect relationship that everyone should pattern or follow our relationship. But the thing that we do is we find ways to solve the problems that we encountered and that's what we are doing now."
