Actress-TV host Ruffa Gutierrez has found an ally in the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, which granted her petition to have sole custody of her two daughters.

Ayon sa resolusyon ng Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 107, na inisyu noong March 11 at pinirmahan ni presidening judge Jose L. Bautista, binibigyan ng "sole custody" si Ruffa. Ang estranged husband naman niyang si Yilmaz Bektas, isang Turkish national, ay binigyan ng visitation rights.
Isinampa ni Ruffa ang naturang petition noong May 2009. Sa isang panayam ni Ruffa, sinabi niyang naghain siya ng petition para ma-"legalize" ang guardianship niya sa kanyang mga anak.
Ikinasal sina Ruffa at Yilmaz sa isang magarbong seremonya noong March 25, 2003 sa The Fort, Taguig City. Pero noong May 8, 2007 ay inanunsiyo nila ang kanilang "mutual decision" na tapusin na ang kanilang pagsasama pagkatapos ng apat na taon.
Bumalik sa Pilipinas si Ruffa, kasama ang kanyang dalawang anak, upang ipagpatuloy ang kanyang showbiz career.
Ngayong March 25, nakatakdang dumating sa Pilipinas ni Yilmaz upang bisitahin si Ruffa at ang kanilang mga anak. Ayon sa dating co-host ng The Buzz, maayos na raw ang pakikitungo nila sa isa't isa ni Yilmaz.
