A thanksgiving Mass was held at Imperial Palace Suites, Quezon City kagabi, March 19, bilang pasasalamat ng Gutierrez family sa lahat ng blessings na dumating sa kanila. Una na rito ang pagkaka-dismiss ng kasong Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide ni Lorayne Pardo laban kay Richard, at ang pagbibigay ng korte ng sole custody kay Ruffa ng mga anak niyang sina Lorin at Venice.
Pasasalamat din iyon ng Royale Era Entertainment management company ni Annabelle Rama dahil lahat ng talents niya ay may mga trabaho.

SURVIVOR PHILIPPINES. Nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Richard pagkatapos ng Misa. Tinanong namin siya kung kailan siya aalis para mag-host ng Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Edition.
"Sa Tuesday, March 23, aalis na ang team para mag-ocular inspection sa three islands na puwedeng maging location ng reality show," kuwento ni Richard.
"I'm very excited nang sabihin nila [GMA News & Public Affairs] sa akin na ako ang napili nila to host this time ng Survivor Philippines. Since I was young, I'm already very active in outdoor activities, kaya nga nang kunin nila ako to host ng mga environmental shows, hindi ako tumanggi. At hindi naman ako nabigo kasi I found fulfillment every time na may matatapos akong episode...
"Actually, nang malaman kong celebrity edition naman ang Survivor Philippines, nag-try akong kausapin sila kung kaya akong sumali. Pero iyon nga, kinausap na nila ako na I will host nga raw the reality show."
UP TO THE CHALLENGE. Kaya ba niyang mag-stay sa isang island for 45 days?
"Kung kakayanin ko, iyon ang challenge sa akin, but I like challenges. Kaya naman I will prepare myself, physically and mentally. Alam ko ring malaki ang magiging responsibilities ko sa mapipiling 18 castaways, dahil maaaring may mga kilala ako sa kanila o nakasama ko na sila sa trabaho...
"May mga kinausap na kami, pero wala pa silang exact answer, pinag-iisipan pa raw muna nila."
Aalis si Richard ahead of the 18 castaways na mapipili sa huling linggo ng Mayo para paghandaan ang show dahil sa first week of June magsisimula ang challenge.
So, paano ang movie na gagawin niya, ang In Your Eyes, with Claudine Barretto and Anne Curtis, na co-production ng GMA Films at Viva Films?
"Sa ngayon, nagwu-workshop kami with Direk Mac Alejandre. Si Anne, minsan pa lang naming nakasama sa workshop kasi busy pa siya sa pagtapos ng movie nila ni Sam Milby sa Star Cinema. Noong isang araw, nag-workshop naman kami ni Claudine under Direk Laurice Guillen.
"After ng Holy Week, magsu-shooting muna kami rito, then two weeks din kaming magsu-shooting sa Orange County in California. Pagbalik namin dito, I will leave na for Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Edition. Pagkatapos naming mag-taping doon, pagbalik ko rito, tatapusin na namin ang movie."
EXCITED TO HOST. Kung excited si Richard sa pagho-host ng Survivor Philippines, excited na rin siyang umpisahan ang pagho-host ng Party Pilipinas, na engrandeng ilu-launch sa March 28.
Bakit siya pumayag na muling mag-host ng show?
"Na-miss ko rin naman ang pagho-host every Sunday," sagot niya. "Matagal ko ring ginawa iyon, kaya lang naging very busy ako sa mga projects ko na most of them, nasa malayong location kami lagi. Now I think it's time to unite again, to support the show. Saka parang warm-up ko na rin ito para sa pagho-host ko sa Survivor Philippines."
Pero bago umalis si Richard para mag-shoot sa Orange County, kasama ang aktor sa Earth Day Concert for the benefit of Greenpeace, ang environmental activist group, na gaganapin sa April 16 sa SMX Concert Grounds. Ilang banda at artists ng GMA Network ang inimbitahan nang lumahok.
Magkakaroon din si Richard ng isang once-a-month environmental show para sa GMA News & Public Affairs. Sa late 2010 naman sisimulan ang second season ng Captain Barbell.
WILL TAKE CARE OF NOMAR'S KIDS. Natanong din si Richard kung ano ang balak niya para sa mga anak ng yumao niyang personal assistant na si Nomar Pardo ngayong inabsuwelto na siya ng Dept. of Justice (DOJ) sa kasong isinampa sa kanya ng biyuda nitong si Lorayne.
