Fans of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes got a treat on Startalk yesterday, April 24, when host Joey de Leon relayed their questions to the celebrity couple.
The first question was, of course, about marriage. Marian and Dingdong are going to the U.S. for a month to do some shows. Have they thought about getting married abroad?
"Never dumaan 'yan at never napag-usapan dahil sa sobrang excitement namin mapuntahan lahat ng lugar," replied Dingdong. "Kung sakali mapag-usapan at maging topic iyan, e, definitely mahal namin Pilipinas, so bakit mag-ibang bansa pa?"
"Wala kayong show sa Las Vegas?" asked Joey de Leon and co-host Butch Francisco meaningfully. Las Vegas is renowned for its quickie marriages.
"Ay wala, e!" laughed Dingdong.
EVERYTHING OUT IN THE OPEN. Host Lolit Solis interjected with the age-old question for couples. "Sa inyo daw dalawa, mas seloso si Marian?"
"Parang pantay 'yan, 'Nay!" smiled Marian.
A grinning Dingdong looked at his partner and added, "Depende sa pawis 'yan, e. Kung maraming pawis sa ilong o noo, e. Sa tingin ko naman balanse!"
So, what do they get jealous about?
"Wala, arte-arte lang," laughed Marian.
"Mga maliit na bagay lang na madaling maresolba," said Dingdong.
In a serious tone, Marian said that she and Dingdong were no longer hiding anything from each other, including past relationships. Dingdong added that talking about their past relationships was a vital part of their process of getting to know each other.
"Patuloy kaming nagiging mabuting tao habang magkasama," he declared.
"Dati mahirap pag-usapan, e, pero after nun, e natapos na at natuldukan na," smiled Marian.
DINGDONG ON ISSUES ABOUT MARIAN. A lot of controversial issues have been linked to Marian, from Youtube videos down to the real age of Marian and whether she already has a child or not. How have these issues and rumors affected Dingdong?
"Minsan nakakapikon pero after thinking about it, pag nag-settle down na, e nakakatawa siya," said Dingdong. "Isa siyang magandang pangpatawa at entertainment value. Nakaka-amaze kung papaano nagiging artistic ang mga tao para gumawa ng kuwento. Artists sila!
"Congratulations," he said to those detractors, "and God bless you always!"
Setting aside the bad rumors, it was time for some positive ones like the one where Marian was said to have been very sweet to Dingdong during the filming of their newest movie, You To Me Are Everything.
"Kung sa sweet, e likas na sa amin ang pagiging sweet," said Marian. Then looking at Dingdong, she exclaimed, "Mas sweet ka pa sa akin!"
