Actor Marco Alcaraz and international beauty queen Precious Lara Quigaman were recently seen together at the 33rd Gawad Urian last Thursday, April 29. In an interview aired on Startalk yesterday, May 1, the two talked about their recent trip to Canada to visit Lara's family.

"Sobrang okay at sobrang nag-enjoy talaga kami," smiled the 2005 Miss International, "kasi mahabang bakasyon din. Pinakilala ko siya sa mama ko at sa sister ko. Brother ko, before na-meet na siya."

Marco said he was equally happy to meet Lara's folks, but it was not, as some people speculated, to ask for her hand in marriage. "Wala pa," he laughed.

Rumors had flown that Marco and Lara tied the knot in Canada, but Lara rebutted this. "Hindi pa. Hindi puwede kasi mama ko muna mag-aasawa bago ako."

SERIOUS ABOUT MARRIAGE. But they admitted that they have seriously started discussing marriage.

"Hindi naman ako papasok sa isang relationship pag hindi ako seryoso," said Marco.

Right now, Marco is facing a controversial issue about his former manager Arnold Vegafria. It was also rumored that Lara had had a verbal fight with Arnold, but she merely said, "Basta alam namin kung ano ang totoo. Hindi kami nagda-doubt at alam namin sa isa't isa at alam namin na hindi papatulan itong issue na hindi naman kami naapektuhan. Hindi ko pa siya nakakausap or nami-meet at all."

"Hind pa kami nakakapag-usap normally ni Arnold," said Marco. "Basta enjoy kami ngayon and I have a new manager right now."

For now, while marriage is still a long way off, "work muna ngayon at ipon," said Marco. "Then let's see kung anong mangyayari."
