Television host-actress Kris Aquino encountered no problem in using the PCOS (Precinct Count Optical Scan) machine as she cast her vote earlier today, May 10, at Urdaneta Village in Makati City.

Kris, who arrived at the voting precinct accompanied by cager husband James Yap, finished the entire procedure in less than five minutes.

"'Yong sinasabi nila na matagal na botohan hindi naman totoo kasi sa experience ko, mabilis naman at madaling mabasa [the names listed on the ballot sheet], malaki ang letra. Siguro sa paulit-ulit nating pagre-remind sa mga tao kung paano ang tamang pagbilog and all madali naman," said Kris to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and some of the reporters who were present at the basketball gym-turned-precinct.

The sister of presidential candidate Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was of course pertaining to the fears and doubts expressed by some people on the efficiency of the machines deployed nationwide by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to modernize the election system here in the country after years of resorting to manual procedures in the casting and counting of ballots.

Kris, like everyone else, is of course hoping that the election today will be smooth, orderly and free from any forms of violence.

"Sana kung anong nangyari dito sa barangay ko sana sa lahat ng barangay sa buong Pilipinas ganito," mentioned Kris.

When asked if there's a feeling of relief in knowing that the rigorous and stressful campaign is finally over, Kris replied, "Siguro lahat naman ng mga nasa posisyon namin ito 'yong nararamdaman ngayon. Pero siguro lahat din umaasa sa magandang kalalabasan. Pero hindi mo matatanggal talaga 'yong nerbiyos. Ngayon mo actually mararamdaman lahat ng kapaguran, lahat ng sakit sa buto."

She added, "'Yon lang naman talaga ang dinasal ko, sabi ko ano man talaga ang kagustuhan ng mamamayang Pilipino, kung sino man ang pipiliin nila galangin lamang 'yon and siguro 'yon na talaga ang true essence ng ating demokrasya na kung anong gusto ng nakararami 'yon ang gagalangin ng lahat."
