Celebrated talk show host Oprah Winfrey reportedly leads Charice Pempengco's star-studded godparents list for her upcoming confirmation scheduled this Saturday, May 22

Charice's younger brother, Carl, will also be baptized on the same date, making the event a double celebration.

Oprah is not the only high-profile personality invited by Charice as one of her sponsors. Popular songwriter and producer David Foster is also included, as well as famed U.S. entertainment lawyer Ed Shapiro; ABS-CBN bigwigs Gabby Lopez, Charo Santos-Concio, Malou Santos; talent manager and TV host Boy Abunda; talk show host Kris Aquino-Yap; entertainment columnist Ricky Lo; broadcaster Karen Davila; news anchor Julius Babao and wife Cristine Bersola; and cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo.

Charice cites Oprah as one of the main reasons she was able to break  into the international music scene. Oprah is very vocal in expressing her admiration for the Filipino singing sensation, who only finished third in the local singing competition Little Big Star back in 2005.

She made her debut in The Oprah Winfrey Show on May 12, 2008 and has since then returned to the show three more times: September 9, 2008, May 18, 2009, and May 11, 2010.

Charice's latest appearance in Oprah coincides with the launching of her self-titled international debut album under Warner Records.
