Former siomai vendor turned singer Jovit Baldivino was hailed as the first winner of Pilipinas Got Talent. The ABS-CBN talent-reality show conducted its results night earlier tonight, June 13, at the Araneta Coliseum. The performance night was held yesterday, June 12.

The Batangueño singer, who performed Queen's "Too Much Love Will Kill You," took home the cash prize of P2 million. Jovit topped overnight text and online votes with 48.81 percent.

Breakdancers Velasco Brothers and dance group Baguio Metamorphosis were the runners-up, winning P100,000 each.

The other finalists each received P50,000. These included ventriloquist Ruther Urquia, magician Allan "Alakim" De Paz, Fil-Norwegian crooner Markki Stroem, guitarist Keith Delleva, the Ezra Band, balladeer Sherwin Baguion, chorale group Luntayao Family, violinist Jeline Oliva, and Broadway singer Ingrid Payaket.

Robin Padilla sang The Dawn's "Salamat" in the opening number. Gary Valenciano performed a medley with the Luntayao family, Markki, Sherwin and Ingrid. Other performers included Kjwan, Juris Fernandez and Sugarfree.

Judges Kris Aquino, Ai Ai delas Alas, and Freddie M. Garcia (a.k.a. FMG) had the honor of announcing the first grand winner of Pilipinas Got Talent.

When Jovit's name was called, he shed tears as he was hugged by members of the Velasco brothers and Baguio Metamorphosis. Kris Aquino asked him if he had any more goals in life and he answered, "Sana matulungan ko ang mga kapatid ko, sana makapag-aral sila."

The results night was hosted by Luis Manzano and Iya Villania. Regular host Billy Crawford is currently in Hong Kong for a performance.
