Kapamilya young actress Erich Gonzales continues to be hounded by rumors about having an "attitude problem." A recent incident was said to have happened during her appearance on the morning talk show of KC Concepcion, Simply KC.
As usual, Erich just shrugged off talk.
"Walang ganung problema. Nakakagulat naman ang mga balitang ganyan," she said in an interview during the press launch of her new endorsement, Silka, held yesterday, June 15, at 9501 restaurant, ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.
Until now, the 19-year-old actress is clueless about how and where this negative reports about her came.
Erich doesn't care to find out the source of such rumors. She just lets her detractors be.
While the former Katorse actress admits that she gets affected, Erich still believe that the public will always have opinions.
She said, "But at the end of the day, alam ko naman po 'yong totoo, ng mga taong nagma-matter sa akin.
Erich also said that even before she joined show business, she already prepared herself for possible intrigues about her.
WORKING WITH MORE EXPERIENCED ACTORS. Erich enjoys working with several known actors in the industry in her upcoming teleserye Magkaribal—Gretchen Barretto, Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay and Angel Aquino.
The ABS-CBN star, who had been the lead actress in previous TV series like Katorse and Tanging Yaman, said she did not mind playing secondary character in this fashion-drama series.
"It's not a big deal for me," said Erich. "I mean, si Ms. Gretchen naman (ang lead star) and si Bea. I know marami akong matutunan from them and mas nauna naman talaga sila. I guess this is a chance rin na makihalo sa kanila."
With regard to Gretchen, popularly known in showbiz as La Greta, Erich said she did not feel intimidated while working with her. In fact, her experience with her on the set of Magkaribal was exactly the opposite.
Erich related, "Noong una, iniisip ko, 'Paano ba 'to? Sila Ms. Greta 'yan.' Pero to be honest talaga, she's really nice. She has great heart talaga and she's really generous. Ang saya niyang kausap."
The young actress cited one incident that showed Gretchen's kindness to her co-actors. Erich remembered, "Merong one time nagpadala ang fans ng pagkain. Sabi niya, 'O bakit may ganyan?' the next day, siya rin nagdala ng food. Sabi namin, 'Saan galing?' 'Sa fans ko. Joke lang. Binili ko 'yan para sa atin.' Nagse-share talaga siya, hindi siya selfish."
She also took this opportunity to defend her co-actress against the controversy that recently hit her.
Wala, nakakatuwa siyang katrabaho talaga."
Aside from Magkaribal, Erich is busy shooting her second indie movie, which is tentatively titled Corazon. Joining her in the cast are Derek Ramsay, Cherie Gil, Mark Gil and Tetchie Agbayani.
