It's a busy day for Kim Chiu today. From gracing the launch of YES! Magazine's Most Beautiful Stars for 2010, where she posed as its cover girl, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Quezon City, the young Kapamilya star rushed to One Esplanade in Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, where she was introduced as the face of SM Development Corporation's My Place in South Triangle.
The former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition big winner said endorsing My Place also earned her a unit in the said condominium—an addition to the 600 square-meter dream house she's having for her family.
Since she's the endorser, the media asked if Kim already mentioned this to her constant onscreen partner Gerald Anderson. She replied smiling, "Oo naman!
That statement somehow disproved recent reports that she and Gerald are having a misunderstanding.
"Wala namang hiwalay, wala namang 'kami,'" she clarified. "Okay kami, masaya kami.
Does Kim have an idea where rumored "hiwalayan" between her and Gerald came from?
Kim said they, too, were curious about it.
The Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo actress, on the other hand, clarified that her upcoming Your Song project, where she would be paired with Enchong Dee, has nothing to do with the issue.
These negative issues, according to Kim, have made them avoid hearing or reading entertainment news lately.
However, Kim still couldn't confirm nor deny rumors that she and Gerald are already in a relationship. She simply told the media, "Time will tell. May tamang panahon sa bawat bagay."
The 20-year-old actress also thinks that the "hiwalayan" issue will soon die down.
She even jested to the reporters, "Mamatay din 'yan. Mamatay (kasi) mapapagod din kayo (kakatanong)."
DOING A PROJECT WITH KAPUSO ARTIST. During the interview, Kim was also teased by the entertainment reporters because they saw her talking with GMA-7's Aljur Abrenica during the launch of YES! Magazine's Most Beautiful Stars for 2010. Aljur was included in this special issue with Kris Bernal under "The Tandem" category.
So, nagkukwentuhan kami.
Kim said it was a rare chance to talk to fellow celebrities from the rival network, especially since Aljur and Kris are pitted against her and Gerald Anderson. Their short conversation earlier, Kim said, proved that there's really no personal rivalry between them.
So, ayun, masaya, mabait sila," she said.
As a Kapamilya actress, will Kim be open to do a project with a Kapuso star like Aljur?
"Trabaho din naman 'yon. Siyempre, kung ano 'yong merong projects, why not?" answered Kim.
